mounting ezpass equipment - will it interfere with front camera

    I just ordered a 2016 blizzard white and moonstone, Prius 4 with ATP and PCP, and am wondering where I can mount my ezpass transmitter. Has anyone mounted ezpass behind the rear view mirror, and if so how does it work for you?

    Update: should have added that the reason for my question is concern that the transponder may interfere with the camera on the windshield at about the same location I have the transponder located inside my current vehicle (right behind the rear view mirror). Trying to make sure the transponder and camera don't conflict with one another.

    no date as of yet. they advised 8 - 9 weeks but after placing the order said it looked more like 6 weeks.

    On a Gen2 ours is behind rear view mirror top of window off center a bit on the black dots no probs. We have a newer one smaller footprint.

    Thanks wjtracy - my concern is with interference from or to the camera mounted outside the vehicle at the same location which is part of the lane detection system.

    My wife has the Ezpass suction cup type transponder on her windshield, it does not interfere with anything. She has a 4 with ATP and PCP packages.

    Incidentally, the sunpass was mounted on the top part of the passanger side windscreen. Recently had the top of the windshield tinted, the tinter moved the sunpass and placed it directly under the rear view mirror area , no issues noted.

    I haven't tried to mount my FasTrak (same thing in CA I think) behind my rearview mirror. I wouldn't try it because I think there's a camera or a sensor behind the rearview mirror that enables some of the safety features.

    I upgraded an older square transponder to a smaller rectangular one at no charge from the Commonwealth.

    While I had to mount this rather low on the front windshield because of the large footprint of the rear view mirror mount that incorporates a camera, at my height and seat position, it is completely (100%) hidden from view while driving.

    (Written from the waiting area of my Toyota dealer -- they are doing my 10k service!)

    Thanks ATHIKER. Are you in VA? If so, should be available to me as well. I'm assuming you mounted in the center and as you said low on the glass, right?
