    Very good numbers! I'm still on my first tank from the dealer and I'm at the 3/8 mark with 430 miles. My '07 corolla could eek out 400 miles if I really babied it and conditions were perfect.

    Congratulations. Excellent. It would be nice if we all could maintain that kind of great mileage. Are you driving at low speeds, in stop & go traffic?

    Nice numbers, but one question. If about half your miles were on the freeway, how did you average only 19 MPH? You must have horrendous traffic to deal with.

    That is one of the things I love about a Prius. When stuck in slow oozing traffic, the fuel economy numbers go through the roof! It makes such traffic just a little less annoying.

    I drive 27 miles to work and 27 back each day. ~20 miles each way is freeway. The rest is 40-50mph roads with stop lights. I go with the flow of traffic. When it is warm, I average ~65-70mpg. When it is cool, 59-65. Last tank was 66.2mpg with a mix of warm and cool days. Best single leg was a return home one afternoon at 84mpg. Average for that day was 75mpg.

    It is easy to get good mileage out of this car, much easier than my 2008. If I really tried, didn't care how long it took to get to work, and didn't care about pissing every driver on the highway off, I bet I could get to 90mpg.

    They're pissed off anyway: they're going to work. It's not your fault.

    BTWSeems the Touring may be getting the best MPG which is the opposite of what folks are saying. Mine is consistently high 60s to low 70's.Need a sign for the back window. "I am retired, no hurry, blind, deaf, 120 years old/get over it"

    Picture of my odometer. I'm very pleased with my lifetime average. It's kind of strange. My mpg's seem to be "stuck" at 60. It only varies slightly, maybe hitting 61 at the high or dropping to 59... but 95% of the time it's right at 60. I drive city streets and freeways, with speeds in the range of 40 to 75. And I run the AC quite often.

    Certainly not complaining. :) Just an observation. Never in my life did I ever think I would be getting such great gas mileage. I drive in the "Normal" mode... fast & furious. :D

    Lets hope a recall doesn't fix it.:ROFLMAO::LOL::mad::(

    See it now. EPA says Prius gets too good of a MPG and oil companies have bribed the agency to recall it.

    Reality is the Leaf and Telsa have changed the game. Big oil has been out maneuvered by those two and drop in oil prices.

    For some reason or another I can not view the attachments. sigh.
    Can you tell us what tires are on your Prius and what's their air pressure is? Does the Prius on board computer still computes the average speed for those 787.2 miles? if so what is it? How's your driving weather and temperature like? Thanks.
