Had some service done on my Prius, had to get a new hub assembly ($$), but Bob Smith Toyota has always treated me fair and given good service.

However, unnoticed by me until the next day, they had taken off my chrome license plat frames and put on "Bob Smith" ones, which royally ticked me off.

They reimbursed me for the new frames I bought and installed them for me. (and washed my car for the trouble of driving back up there. They still have my business, people make mistakes, it's fine.)

While watching though, my front plate has a mounting, but my rear does not. And now when I close the back gate it sounds a little flimsy. I'm also thinking about my future paint job, and a better way to protect it from the edges of the plate.

Is there a recommended plate mounting to give my gate a more solid sound?

Better way...I don't know too many variables, what's different from your first frames, etc....but

How about mounting a square of rubber to the license plate gaining distance between the lic. frame and paint?

My first frame mounted on top of the plate, this new one sits behind so that it seamlessly frames from the back.
I like the streamlined look of it.

yeah, some thin rubber washers would probably do the trick!

also, now I'm looking at the screws... they don't help the streamlined look..

    maybe covers?

I couldn't find Star Wars or Legend of Zelda, and (even though I'm not crazy about the toyota logo) I'm thinking of the Toyota ones...

I'm sorry Jarrett but I had to laugh at the dealer actually removing your chrome frames!! Really? They just took them off? No mercy from the Dealers. Anyway, Yes, rubber washers will cure the scratches.
