My Prius V not Five because 2010 used uppercase Roman numerals for model designation was recently in an accident. I am looking for someone who has the Prius 5 with the advanced technology package. I am concerned about the quality of the replacement LED headlamps and would like to do a comparison. Please let me know if you or someone you know has this vehicle. Thanks!

Here are some photos of my 2010 V (uppercase V because you own a 2010 Prius and not a Prius v wagon, the wagon uses the lowercase v) with ATP headlights. If these don't do what you're looking for let me know.

Thanks! Do you happen to be in the Houston area? Ideally, I would like to get photos of the cars side by side with LEDs on. Please send me a private message is this is possible. Otherwise, do you mind taking photos with the LEDS on, in the daylight and in the dark?

Thanks again!! I really appreciate your help!

Here are the night photos. There was light rain when I took the pictures.

Hmm, is the parking light dim/amber because it's old? I've only seen this effect on taxis (which I assume run the lights more often than a private vehicles) and in some cases, both forward-facing bulbs are blown. I've replaced mine with LEDs so I haven't seen this dimmed effect yet.

I believe it looks dim due to the exposure setting of the picture. If the exposure wasn't adjusted, the twin LED projectors would appear to be one bright light.

Edit: Or possibly an amber bulb?

What is your concern? Did they not use Toyota headlights? ... I would be surprised if anyone make them besides Toyota .. Few few Prius have them.

The parking bulbs are clear; but there's a bit of crazing and yellowing on the plastic of the headlight. I suspect that's what enhances the yellowness in the pictures.

Koito manufactures them for Toyota. Toyota doesn't actually manufacture them themselves. The replacement headlamps are OEM surplus. I'm concerned that they're not as white and strong as the headlamps I had before the accident.

Could the issue be that they aren't aligned? That could affect their apparent brightness.

Yes it could be the camera lens but I've seen this effect before where the parking lights look like a kerosene lamp in terms of output.

Ohh I see. Ok. Good to know, thanks!
