Was down in Chula Vista yesterday and sdfenderrolling was available, so I left my car with him, ate some Costco pizza, and he rolled all 4 fenders for $100 in a couple of hours.

Today, I installed some 5mm spacers in the rear. Also put some gold open ended extended lug nuts, but I might just go back to the chrome gorillas I got from discount tire. Drove it pretty hard down the freeway and back and no rubbing on any of the bumps and dips, so hopefully it's all good. Then gave it a wash and tire dressing. Was gonna try to install the front lip but eh, I'm feeling lazy now.

There's a lot of hate out here, but there's also a ton of them on the road. I noticed a lot more people cutting me off even if I was also at the speed limit or faster. Then when you start modding, that opens a lot more trash talk

I'm sure they are still hated out here but Prii are common. I see at least 10-20 on my daily commute which is only 20 miles round trip.

There's always gonna be haters. But I think once you open their minds up and they see the potential, you will defefintly convert those haters to admirers, trust me. Besides, you're being unique and gonna break a few necks here n there. You'll see.

I had to make one more minor change after seeing the the ugly Toyota blue heat badge in a pic I posted earlier. That badge never really bugged me until I saw it in my pic... gahhhh!!!
So, I cut up a piece of clear plastic and painted the inside silver to make a new background for the rear badge that kinda matches the silver of the PIP rear deck. Think I'll order some silver, pewter and white carbon fiber vinyl samples to have some variety and to get rid of the blue heat in the front badge too.

The Prius modding club only attracts people who don't crumble to haters. That's kind of crew I want to roll with.

    Hi Fellow Prius drivers,

I haven't had a chance to say this, but I am so happy to see all the modding your Prius's. Hybrid and electric cars in my opinion is the future of motor vehicles. Just the other day, at my work, a young lady (20 something) said to me that she saw a modded Prius and it made her want to own one! Then she saw a 2016 model and really liked it! Anyway, I know you all probably take a lot of heat from the Suburu, Honda and Lexus mod crowds as they don't see the benefit of modding if a car isn't fast. But, as someone has stated in here, "Speeding gets you tickets and lots of gas money out of your wallet". I admire all of you. Believe me when I say this, your cars, 25 years from now, will be worth a heck of a lot of money due their novelty and niche buyers. Mod on baby.............Mod on!!!!!

I thought so too, but surprisingly not. When I go to car meets here in IL, the majority of them are pretty supportive. I used to like WRX STI's, but found out theyre pretty much jerks and only like their own "kind".... its weird. Ive only met 2 modders from IL and 4 from NJ. Never encountered the stereotypical hate yet, thankfully. Even get a few thumbs up here and there on the highway. here's some proof. I was spotted and posted on Facebook. I never replied. I rather stay humble and take what I get:

Its normally the younger crowd that I believe feeds into the stereotypes. Hence why I like our community here on PC. Can even tell when you visit the 86forums, M3forums, and EvoForums... the vibe is completely different. (i lurk in their forums sometimes just to find ideas). I didnt buy a prius to be fast. I bought it because I commute 2 hrs daily and my previous 14mpg jeep was killing me.
