I had one of the dial ones. Worked great, until I dropped it from waist height onto cement while using it once, and it became inaccurate. I switched to digital. :p

At least that way, when I'm with my Best Friend Ever handling a Big Freaking Emergency in Bum Frak Egypt, I can just replace the battery and get back to work on my Bachelor of Forest Engineering.

Is this tire pressure gauges? (Without back reading I was guessing calipers at first.) Stick gauges are pretty bulletproof, at least the few I've had. Mine have been accurate and reliable, checked against a digital.

    Interesting thread.....FWIW, wife & I each have a 2010, hers doesn't have this issue; mine did until I adjusted (lengthened.....more toe/in) each tie/rod by turning "3 flats"......much better now......again FWIW

Yes, they are, and generally less inaccurate than comparably priced dial ones. Yes, I've tested them.

Guess I got lucky with mine, hopefully the sealing gasket won't dry up for a while. British made PCL I think. I more recently picked up another stick gauge, when I couldn't find my usual, but it was near impossible to get a good seal; ended up bleeding a pound or two everytime I attempted to use it.

Sorry, I'm not very mechanically inclined. What is a "flat"?

If I can jump in: it'd be 3 "flat" faces on the hexagonal adjuster nut. Half a turn I'd say.

Yep.....on each side, so a full turn overall......I don't know what the thread/pitch is......lets say for discussion, that the pitch is 1.5mm, so in that case, a little under 1/16"......I have no idea what this would be out at the circumference of the wheel.....what I do know, is that it sure drives a lot better! .....& yes I'm well aware of the "Placebo Effect" & "The Power Of Suggestion".....;)

Keep a close eye on your tires. I tried a
self alignment a long time ago, car drove great but when I got home from a long trip the tires were shot.

I have a 2010 Trim 2 with 70,000 miles on it. Run my tires at factory specs. We do a lot of highway driving between Dallas, Tx and Erie , Pa. I have had it up to 95 mph on the interstate with no problems at all. sounds like you have a problem somewhere. I forgot to add that I am also a old man at 74. the only thing that stresses me out is that it will only do 112. I was a teenager in the late 50's and early 60's. I grew up with fast cars and faster women. This car is a good road car.
