    Hello all,

Today I took my 2006 Toyota Prius with 167,000 miles out to drive my dog to the vet. I turned the car on and deactivated the parking break and noticed the light stayed on, then I noticed the VSC and ABS lights stayed on as well.

My car was parked backwards on a driveway incline for about 14 hours. My 12v battery is old, not sure what shape it is in. The hybrid battery was replaced 2 years ago. I have been reading up and i guess it could be a sensor, skid sensor, 12v battery, or some sort of pump. Also, my parking break has felt a little weak as of late.

The car still drives, not sure if it drives funny or psychologically I think it does.

    Thanks!

Go have it checked out, there is an extended warranty for the actuator pump, which has those brake indicators you mentioned

Call me ignorant, but how do I check to see if I qualify for the actuator pump extended warranty.

    Thanks

Just by having a 2006 model. You should have received something in the mail

This is assuming your hv battery is ok

    I will call them.

    Thank you

It's not a recall, it's an extended warranty......in case you encounter the problem

    Hey guys.

Hopefully the OP doesn't mind me jumping into his thread! I have the same warning lights appearing and feel another thread would be overkill.

Anyways I have the red triangle, ABS and VSC lights staying on. I also noticed that the LED that comes on when the "self park" is activated is flashing as opposed to being constantly on, and the cruise control no longer works!

I've changed the 12V battery, and it wasn't that.

I've bought an OBDII dongle, plugged it in, downloaded the Torque App on Android and got the following results....

    End of report.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strangely, bank 1 sensor 2, which shows as a fail above, is the only thing that gives a "live" graph when the engine is running. Every other sensor in both banks gives a blank graph.
So does this mean both sensors are gone, or does it mean the cat is acting up?

    Thanks in advance.

    Larry.

Could be a bad wheel speed sensor. Could also be allot of other things. I had all the same lights and it turned out to be a rear bearing had gone. When it starts to go it destroys the speed sensor.

    JC91006, I appreciate your help.

Sorry, I never thanked you for your reply.

The problem ended up not being the brake actuator. Apparently a rat got into the underside compartment and chewed up some wires.

$295.00 repair to re-solder the connections.
