I realized my newly bought Priuss' horn wasn't working when I tried using it earlier in the week.
Me hen my dad and I opened up the hood, we realized that the fuse box was missing the horn fuse.

Thankfully, dad being a a self taught mechanic, we inserted the fuse and almost instantly, the horn started going off. It was just a constant loud beep.

He then removed the fuse and the horn stopped.

What do you guys think is the problem?

I should note this is a Prius 2005

either a short in the wiring, bad clock spring, or there's an aftermarket alarm that needs attention. whatever it is, the old owner found the easy way to bypass it.

When I had my 2006 Scion XB, whenever I changed the battery, the horn would go off. The first time this happened I nearly banged my head on the raised hood of the car. I had to reset the alarm system with my key fob to get the horn to shut off. Try doing that. Or, turn on the ignition and turn off the ignition and see if that works. Or, disconnect the battery then reconnect the battery. Hopefully, one of these options will help.
