Be careful about the DTE and reserve indicators. On a long trip recently I had it drop to zero suddenly (and the fuel gage) and even after driving about 12 more freeway miles I had 1.5 gal in the tank (fill up calc).

I wonder if it calculates when DTE is based on driving pattern as well as actual fuel quantity.

Driving pattern greatly effects the DTE.

I have been tracking DTE predictions and waiting to finish this current 3rd tank, before posting about it. But I usually don't use the DTE I simply calculate quickly how many liters used from the tank trip, and estimate how many km I can drive with whatever left.
The gas light last time came up with still 7-8L in the tank...

That is some amazing mileage. Today I broke my own record for my daily commute to work. There was almost no wind and averaged 42mph so lots of steady freeway traffic. Best I would do in my generation 2 in these conditions was in the low 60's.

Wow, this is low - what average speed though?

Average speed 42mph according to the computer. I had to take some side streets which resulted in more acceleration and stop signs so I would imagine getting 80+ mpg is possible in perfect conditions.

Then it is a really excellent result. That is actually the value at which the Gen4 is rated in the EU cycle. :)
