    Summer temperatures are really helping my numbers.
    This tank includes a trip to Denver and back with about 4000 net feet of elevation change at interstate highway speeds which includes a climb up to 11,000 feet for a climb out of Denver of 5700 feet. The extra fuel burned going uphill is never completely compensated by the higher downhill MPG.
    I am off for another round trip to Denver tomorrow. I have never had a car that could comfortably do two such round trips on one tank.

    One other thought.
    It seems the Two Eco model is not turning in any noticeably superior mileage scores as reported on this site. Sure wish there was some way to group the results in the six model categories, but there simply have to be too many variables to account for, not to mention small sample size on this site. I am guessing that the EPA of 52MPG combined applies to some sort of composite of models score, and the 56MPG combined for the Eco is model specific and is something of a marketing gimmick, and furthermore, that in fact all the models with 15 inch wheels get essentially the same MPG.

    Re "... never completely compensated by the higher downhill ... " that's because the friction, aerodynamics, but most of all is the efficiencies of the electric engine and petrol (ICE) engines are nothing like 100%. Each is against you achieving 100% redemption. The ICE is reported to be 40% efficient, one of the more efficient in captivity. Thought - if you went uphill in summer, and back downhill in winter, would it improve - just a long wait to go home.

    The EPA MPG is in a controlled environment, on a given sample vehicle. It is also over a set "course", which has a set percentage of stops, slower, faster, motorway and city type driving. Undoubtedly, different driving conditions, temperatures, slightly different moods of drivers, heavier shoes - well, maybe not - and different fitted options on the car. You might have put some accessories which might change aerodynamics, someone else might carry a heavy toolbox in the back. No 2 will be alike.

    According to the detailed EPA tests of the various trims, that you can find in some relevant thread here, the TWO ECO FE goes down to only 1 MPG more than the other trims with the 15", if you use A/C. So i guess it's easy that on real world average you fail to see any difference.
    Quite more substantial is the 10% difference btw the 15" and 17" of the Touring, difference that should be visible in FUELLY.

    Not an earth shaking photo but I would email it to you if you want.
    It shows 386 miles and 69.1 mpg.
    EV ratio 39% and average speed of 36 mph.

    Made the plunge today. This is running errands, traveling from Wal Mart to Sam's Club at home. Interesting thing was I'm learning the car and trying not to incite road rage so the car was in power mode for this segment. this was not some trick like a downhill coast to Sam's, all I did was try to keep car in electric on small screen. Overall for the day was 75.6 reported. Wait until I get experience and get really good at it. You ain't seen nothing yet.

    Does anybody else notice-

    "Average Driving Speed-36 MPH
    EV driving ratio- 39%"

    On their scoreboard a lot? I have noticed it, but didn't put any thought into it. But! I think it is VERY curious to see it on somebody else's!

    Thoughts?!!

    Ok I have NEVER reached the 70's for MPG. How do you people do it?? Also, whenever I am really trying to keep it in EV mode, I feel like I am pissing off EVERY person behind me so I give in and speed up. Are you 65+ MPG'ers noticing major road rage from those around you?

    That's the reason I was in power mode. I got up to speed as quick as possible then started working on mileage. I usually piss people off because I don't speed, even in my old car (GTI). Too many burbs with radar guns up here. Just last weekend sone idiot wanted to race from a stoplight. Considering there was a cop behind him I didn't think that was a good idea. He peeled out and right after clearing intersection the red lights came on.

    Good observation!
    I selected that display mode for the photo because EV% mode and average speed are key numbers. The higher EV% and lower average speeds correlate with higher mpg.
    On some other thread here someone who drives around in flat southern California posted something like 87mpg. I don't recall the EV% but his average speed was 18mph.
    I have no idea if the EV% is time or mileage.

    Check this video out. This guy did the same route three years ago in a Prius c and got 65mpg, which at the time I thought was pretty amazing.

    I will do the "pulse and glide" when there are pushy drivers around, that is somewhat faster acceleration, but backing off when hitting cruising speed to get the system to shut off the gas motor and glide along on battery power. When I am visiting Denver, I get 60-80 mpgs for short trips by just oozing along with the traffic flow, steady as she goes speeds, and when there is a red light up ahead, off throttle and / or gentle braking to recharge the battery.

    Stop and go traffic usually means higher MPGs if you are easy on the accelerator.

    Everytime I put gas the range changes original the first tank was 811 range miles.The dealer give me the first full tank. Second fill up was 749 range miles .After that I can't get to that even if I try . Last time was 668 range miles. The gas this time 2.05 per gallon .

    I drove super gently on the throttle today when accelerating, and my journey was in EV for 71% of the time, and got 71mpg (US). I didn't suffer road rage, but the car right behind me was almost glued to the rear of my car. I could see in my rear view mirror, they were even considering overtaking me at one point, which would have been extremely dangerous for all road users on that specific road.

    If a road rager gets behind you and won't let up, simply throw on your 4 way blinkers until they rage on by you... Little trick I learned :)

    If I can somehow survive the mean streets of the Philly / Tri state area and manage to not get shot for going 55-60 mph on the highways when I feel like it I'm sure anyone anywhere can manage the same :D

    I can't wait to pick up my new Gen4 Tomm!!!

    I guess is not only Miami. I just laugh when ever see road rager. Expressway 826 speed limit is 55 but I think driver are going like 100 mph. Turnpike is 70 speed limit .
