    The delivery fee is listed on the window sticker with all the options. So it would be in the vehicle price.
    Dealer service fee could cover some overhead onthe dealership operations, or just be a money grab.

    Well, it's always a money grab no matter what it is called. The lumping or splitting cost elements only serves the dealers purpose of making what you pay for a vehicle more expense than what is advertised. Basic marketing 101. (I always like how the shipping and handling charges of so many things on TV has no relationship to how much the shipping and handling costs.)

    In the case of Toyotas sold in the Southeast and Gulf states, there is a hated toyota extra charge that those two distributors get extract from Toyotas sold in those states. (Look up Jim Moran in wikipedia.) This puts the dealers in a bind since putting two destination/dealer/delivery charges on one car is not viable.

    To add to your comments:

    I have been a loyal Toyota Prius Owned 04,06,08 and 2010.

    Now I am on the market again I loved my 2010 and I will not trade it in.

    I liked the Volt 2017 and was thinking about the Prime:

    I am giving the Volt 2017 a chance:

    - I like that the Volt is much faster, sportier, fun to drive and has more torque than the Prime.
    - Has Apple CarPlay. Siri is amazing. - Thank you
    - Quick snappy response from Mylink Chevy system.
    - Has knobs to turn volume up and down instead pressing a button to adjust sound.
    - The cargo trunk is better on the Volt compared to the Prime.
    - When you fold the back seats forward the cargo is flat. Not like Prime uneven floor.
    - Better looking / inside out.
    - 53 Miles on a single electric charge.
    - True Lane Keep Assist - Not car departure lane warning.
    - Quieter Cabin Noise when driving the car.
    - 17 inch good looking wheels. Not plastic 15 inch covers.

    I would like to hear any items missing.
