VIN and delivery progress tracking

    I've heard that my car is moving along the line somewhere and would like to track its progress. Is there any way to discover this info without keep pestering the dealer, who just might not be as enthusiastic as me?

    My instinct tells me that the first step with an order would be to allocate a vehicle identification number, but my logic may not translate to Toyota's policy. Having read almost everything on this site related to gen 4 recently, I've an idea there is a method of tracking through Toyota but this ancient brain of mine won't recall the relevant details.

    Till it gets here I'll just have to drool all over your Prii.

    If you have your vehicle's VIN, try googling it. If it's been entered into a computer visible on the WWW, you might see it.

    Info from my dealership is sparse at best, but I'll keep nagging for detail.

    Don't suppose lying on my back, kicking and screaming in their showroom is gonna help this time around.

    Well, I got my VIN but no joy with goggle any other methods of tracking
