New to Prius, dog copilot

Hi! I just got a 2013 Prius yesterday! Since it's my first newish (<10 years old at time of purchase) vehicle, I'd actually like to keep it looking nice. My former car (2003 Civic) was completely covered in dog hair that vacuums would not get out of the cloth seats no matter how hard I tried. I'd like to get a hammock-type seat cover for the back seat, but I know there's a vent for the hybrid battery that has to be kept clear. How do you folks with dogs that shed heavily keep your seats clean without blocking the vent? Any recommendations on a particular type of cover?
