That's getting a little ludicrous there, don't ya think?

I'd buy a Tesla 3, but don't want to wait a few years. Not interested in the Volt. Not sure about the Bolt yet, but Chevy, so 2 strikes already. I would feel so much better if something truly ludicrous happened and Toyota dumped the FCV stuff and released a 250 mile BEV. Still leaning toward the Prime....

Love that I have no idea what the New Yorker is yakking about. True bliss. I suggest the rest of you try the ignore button as well.

Don't forget, you risk becoming an even bigger fool if you endlessly argue with a fool.

Ignorance can be bliss, but it's always ignorance.

thanks for the definition of over powered - under skilled. Obviously biased, & unfortunately, you've left off all the other half dozen super-cars (those that do 0-60mph in under 3 seconds) owned by ignorant folk that suddenly think they're Al Unser and yet end up killin their self. Buy a Ferrari, Bugatti, Lambo etc because you can, and you take your chances. But even the likes of Bill Vukovich met their demise when extraneous circumstances, out of their control intervened.

now now - even the most ignorant folk can learn. Just give them a chance !
    ;)
    Obviously the poor slob you're referring to - simply can NOT understand;

#1 - That there are at LEAST 200 deaths per 200,000,000 miles in autos EVERY YEAR - which means the poor slob that you're letting "get to you" - is to be thanked - for pointing out Tesla's stellar autopilot record - as to date, there is only ONE death per 200,000,000 on autopilot. Kind of makes you wonder why he hasen't reported on the other 199 deaths ... doesn't care about them ... it's almost as tho he has a tad bit prejudiced ?? nah - better to attribute it to ignorance.
#2 - That this accident posted - happened over 1/2 year ago.
#3 - That Mandarin - the main language of much of china, was used to publish this story over 1/2 year ago. Maybe he doesn't speek Mandarin? Otherwise It'd be simple to understand that the Chinese police ALREADY ... a LONG TIME AGO, had reported the accident was the DRIVER's fault.

    #4 - That some don't know how to use Google Translate - otherwise the obvious translation of the police report would be right there within fingertips;
    #5 -
ok, this is my favorite . . . Chinese law suits, in a chinese court . . . a 23 year old - driving wealthy daddy's Tesla with no grasp of how to drive ~ 100mph . . . . is there anything more nutty? Yes - the fact that if this 23 year old spoild turd had been driving some OTHER car, made in CHINA?

Well - it'd be a State sponsored company, and the surviving family would be run out of town. But hey ... it's an american company, so China says 'F' them ... go to court !! With all the cheep fraudulent knockoffs (from BMW, to Rolex, to Honda ... to Starbucks, to Rayban, to dozens of other manufacturers) ... NO ONE ever wins a case in China. Don't think for a moment Tesla will win either.

The real tragedy here is that it took the death of a stupid 23 year old, just so some PC member could try to make a, "tee hee hee" / anti Tesla comment. Great. Hope that's working for him.

For the record, I didn't exclude various other marques. I stated my experience with clueless Tesla drivers.

You wanna talk other marques, go ahead and distinguish yourself.

Good for you, now wait until it's determined that the vaunted Tesla 'Auto-pilot' was engaged.

Like i already said - Chinese kangaroo court ... Wealthy Chinese family ... what's a good Chinese judge (who knows which side of the bread his butter is on) supposed to do ... but maybe if some folks live under a rock - they don't know exactly how the Chinese roll.
    BOOM -
"Judgement against that horrible entitled evil american bastard."
That tesla could be made in 2013 prior to ANY models having auto pilot and their courts will still find it's a fault of autopilot. But hey enjoy your tee heee heee time.
Glad that's workin' for you. Enjoy your quality Walmart products too. At least China lets GM manufacture our good old "made in the USA" engine blocks over there - before getting assembled in Canada.

Awwww.... Poor widdle. Someone piss in your Cheerios, pal?

I doubt Tesla even delivered a car in China before 2014. Go look it up.

And the legal system? Here? It's as good as you can afford, and with Musk's cram-down on subsidies, he can afford plenty. If he doesn't force the poor schlubs into arbitration, where the odds are even worse. Poor widdle, indeed.

don't need to . . . and I refuse to believe you're such a fool as to have never heard of 'grey market' cars.
First Tesla Model S In China Sells For Over $400,000 - Gas 2
That's right - October 2013 . . . way before autopilot was when many of the MS's started to roll into China.
but don't let that stop you from being you . . . the "Poor widdle" thing pretty much summed your level of maturity ... sorry you can't get the emotion you'd want.

As you undoubtedly know (ya will in a moment), manufacturers typically take a dim view of and reject any claims on a gray market import. Too bad, huh? Musk and Tesla skate again. Poor widdle, indeed.

I'm with you buddy - here's to hoping tesla & that jerk musk fails ... Hey! Where do you wanna go trolling next!! Doesn't even have to be on topic! As long as we get a reaction, right? tee hee hee hee.
Oh! ... and nice deflection against being wrong about no Tesla's in China prior to 2014. I'll have to put that "change the subject -AGAIN" tactic in my troll masters book of expertise - thanks!

So short them. The smart money is.

This part is priceless; cue the ambulance chasers!

Tesla also recently instituted a retraining program for its dealership staff in China, following claims by the victim of a minor crash that company salespeople and the dealership advertised the car as "self-driving" and that salespeople took their hands off the wheel while demonstrating Autopilot functions.

The automaker has not addressed the China crash on its official blog.

Tee heee heee versus reality - if we can go non-crybaby & get back on topic

Yep - it won't be too long before everybody is forced to only drive heavily padded 50 mph Nerf cars - because we all know that the inattentive need protecting from their self.
And rmember, this warning sign may have sharp edges - don't run your carotid artery across it or you may seriously bleed. Talk about the boohoo crowd . . .

Please do. I have made 1000's of dollars loaning out my shares to short sellers.
The more of them line up, the higher the interest rate I get paid :)
