Truth be told, @Tideland Prius passed along his spreadsheet for most of it. I just fat-fingered it into the thread. I did, however, add a few little things here and there. But in no way can I take all the credit.

    Thanks Tony.

Spreadsheet will be up somewhere in the Knowledge Base section soon (it won't be Oct 3 unfortunately but you'll have plenty of other things to read in the meantime).

Why is there a CD player only on the Plus level? Is it because of the smaller screen?

Yes. The 7" MFD is the same one found in the Gen 4 Three and higher.

The 11.6" screen does not include a CD player any more - it's all digital music (or radio)

No CD/DVD - Welcome to the 21st century!

I suppose we have no info on the Canadian options? Which WILL be "less" than the Americans get, and maybe won't even be sold in many places? Like the fourth gen.

Is the charge cable that comes with it suitable for 240V charging or just 120V charging? How long is the cord (roughly)?

The EVSE that comes with most plug ins is just for charging from the typical 120V/15amp outlet in the US.

No Canadian spec as far as I know but yeah we most likely won't get Safety Connect (no big deal) or Entune (used to be no big deal but now that traffic is tied to Entune, you can't get traffic info like you can on older Toyotas. Plus, using a search engine to find POIs is easier and more up-to-date). I'm wondering if there's some issue with privacy for Entune (read the fine print). There's also the issue with data because Canadians know how expensive phone plans are with data.

L1 charging only. The cable on one end plugs into a household socket. I will not fit into a 240V outlet (and besides, you probably want an EVSE for that, no?)

about 20' or so, and you can upgrade the cable to 120/240v for about $200.

I've attached a "Prius vs. Prime" comparison chart to Tony's original post. It's in PDF and Excel format. I did a basic "Two, Three, Four" vs. Plus, Premium, Advanced". I excluded the Two Eco and both Touring models to keep the table narrow and so that it fits in the PDF format.

this might have been mentioned already somewhere, but still am unsure - so the Plus Model does not have the remote A/C option? Meaning that when the car is plugged in once can activate the A/C via the FOB key?

    I'm not sure.

I am sure that the remote A/C through Entune and Safety Connect with a smartphone is only on the Advanced. But the owner's manual doesn't distinguish between the models when it comes to key-fob operated remote A/C. It just tells you how to do it which might indicate it's on all three models.

All models have Remote A/C via the fob. It will use battery power unless it's plugged in (then it uses grid power). It simply turns on the climate control to the last set temperature before you shut off the car.

The Advanced model adds smartphone capability for Remote Climate. It allows the owner to turn on the climate control at the set temperature, max cold or max hot. The owner can also turn on/off the front and rear defrosters with the smartphone.

So far what is unclear is whether the Remote A/C via fob includes the heater. I think it does but the manual is not explicit.

    Yeah it is.

Under "Remote Air Conditioning System" is

Using the heater via the Remote Air Conditioning System
When the outside heat exchanger becomes frosted over, heating performance may decline due to automatically switching to the frost removal operation.

    I think that's very explicit.

Excellent. That means it'll work in Canada. We don't have Entune up here so we don't have any smartphone apps or traffic/weather information. We're stuck with a vehicle that's not "Connected" (which is fine I suppose... minimise the risk of hacking... but the Remote Climate and the traffic information would be useful).

it locks the plug in the car socket, so it can't be removed, iirc.

Can anyone clarify the difference between the headlights of the Premium and Advance? Do both of these trim have either LED or HID headlights (ie. low beams), are they both halogen?

The first line "Quad LED projector low & high beam headlights" pretty much answers your question. LED headlights (low & high) are standard on all Primes. No halogens or HIDs.

The Advanced adds LED foglights and LED clearance lights (those 3 vertical LEDs outboard of the foglights)
