Did they remove the HVAC toggle switches, like in the Gen4? If so, I agree. I don't want those functions on a touch screen.

i'm not sure, would have to see a close up. maybe the big screen leaves no room, but the small screen has gen 4 buttons?

Those are manual (tactile) controls too and I agree much easier to use. I rarely ever visit the HVAC screen.

unfortunately, i can't turn a/c on/off, change vent position or fan speed on my steering wheel. curiously, they decided it was important to have outside/recirc button though.

I rarely have the need to change those options when in auto mode; just adjust temp to my preference.

OR.... you could just use the voice command and say "warmer" or "cooler". It's pretty remarkable in it's capabilities.

What bugs me about that steering wheel recirc button too: you push it, then to verify what you've got, you have take your eyes off the road, look down to see which light is lit, then study the two diminutive pictogram pics, decipher which is which.

I'm 63 and usually had to make stops every two hours in my Gen2 Prius. FYI, I drive 21K+ miles per year. In my new Prime I rode 4+ hours without discomfort but had to stop for a bio-break. I agree with other comment, though: It's highly personal and you'll have to try it out.
