Volvo seat installed in my Prius Gen III 2015

    So i drive about 5K miles a month, my seat is really uncomfortable. i tried the washer idea to lift up a bit. it did help, but still wasnt that comfortable. i read somewhere that a guy installed a Volvoseat and that it was a much better seat compared to the prius. so i decided to give it a try. found a 1998 s70 volvo seat at a junkyard for $40


    Unfortunately that seats are very high because of the seat bracket i purchased from andysautosport

    i'm gonna try to fine a another prius seat and cut off the bracket to lower it when i have the chance, i dont want to use mine just in case i decide to sell it later.

    i even ran the power so now i have power SEATS! but i fell like a truck drive it sits so freaking high.

    All the other airbags will still work. He only left it unplugged cause I'm assuming that the Volvo seat doesn't have a side airbag.

    Cool! Srs light comes turns off after plugging it back? Or you have to reset the computer to turn it off?

    It will remain lit until there is a airbag plugged back in.

    There are way to bypass it & trick the system into thinking there is no errors.

    Unfortunately the entire srs system is disabled when a fault is detected. You can bypass that seat with a precision resistor matching the resistance of the air bag. I nervously measured a seat belt pretensioner in a saab once and it was approximately three ohms . After removing the connector shorting device I was optomistic the 9v in the meter wasn't enough to deploy a seat belt pretensioner and I was correct.

    If it has deployed it would have been a completely different saab story :)
