There will be two models for Canada - Base and Technology. Price TBD pending QC legislation on updated PHEV/EV rebates.

All models will have heated, SofTex-wrapped steering wheel as standard equipment that differentiate it from the US models. Otherwise, it looks like the Base model will be similar to the "Plus" model in the US and the Technology model will be similar to the "Advanced" model in the Us.

Wondering what Ontario incentives gonna be. Based on 2016 legislation and battery capacity it might be about $8K, but because it is 4 seats an additional 1K is inapplicable.

Ontario rebate should be the same as what is available for A3 etron - $1000 (4 seats). So that's approximately $7000. I can't post the link because I'm new here but Google should help if you search, "Ontario electric car rebate".

Yes etron incentive is $8100. Minus 1K for smaller number of seats = $7100.

I don't think Alberta has a rebate program. We just pay and pay. ;)

    Welcome. :)

    I agree, the Ontario rebate should be about $7-$8K. The formula is rather complex now, it is based on the size of the battery, and there is a $1K bonus if it seats 5 (which obviously the Prime is not eligible for). It is also factored based on a percentage of the MSRP for that trim level, and capped at 30% of the vehicle value. Here is the link with all the vehicles;

    Eligible Electric Vehicles

We got $12K off the price of our Leaf SL earlier this year (MSRP is $40K). Thanks Kathleen, for once...

If it is going to be only 2 models - basic and technology I'd speculatively predict their prices as 30-31K for basic and 35-36K for technology.
This is before freight, delivery, A/C and taxes. With all these additions prices may look like 36-37K and 42-43K respectively.
Those prices look very aggressive to me and I look forward to seeing how close was my forecast :).
Compare to gen 4 Prius this is about 4-5K over the price of basic and advanced technology models.

JBL Audio will be offered (since it's not available on the regular Liftback).

Base will have 1-dr SKS, 7" LCD, heated steering wheel, SofTex-wrapped steering wheel, cloth seats, heated front seats, TSS-P

Technology basically adds everything else - 3-dr SKS, step lamp, 11.6" HD LCD, ICS, IPA, RCTA, BSM, HUD, LED foglights, JBL Audio w/ 10-Speakers etc....

That's all I know. No pricing info available. However, you're were right in that it'll come in the spring (so later than the US)

That's a pretty good guess. I'm hoping base will be $29,495 but I suspect your numbers are probably more likely.

I'm afraid we must wait till 2017 to hear about it :(
My guess is - exterior colors will be same as US, interior most likely limited to one (black) or two choices - TBD

Forgot to ask about colours but the target release date is March or April 2017. My local dealers' initial allocation is most likely sold as he has pre-orders for them.

I would assume that the colours will be the same as in the US, but the interesting thing is that for the 2017 Prius, the US has an extra colour...the sea glass pearl.
I hope the Canadian Prime has atleast the colour choice of the US models....I was hoping for a black....and the Blue crush Metallic is only available on the Prius, where as the Prime has the Blue Magnetism, which looks like turquoise. So now I'm having a hard time picking a colour?

The Blue Magnetism isn't really a turquoise when you see it in person. It is more like a lightish blue. Not that unusual, but also not unpleasant.

Yeah I'm guessing Sea Glass didn't sell that well when it was offered (And on te Prius v, it's been replaced with Galactic Aqua Mica).

Blue Magnetism is more of a pastel light blue when I saw it indoors at NYC. It's a bit more metallic if you view it under sunny conditions. It's one of those colours that shift depending on lighting condition. The images that show green are off. The one you see in the videos are closer to reality.
