The toyota.com website now has the Prime listed as available and no-longer an up-coming vehicle.

    Yay!(y)

Can you build your car from it yet?

Why yes, yes you can. I see the dealers have plenty of options since there's no packages to select.

Yes. I found out the Red paint scheme is considerably more expensive.

It also has a side by side comparison of the various models in the build section. One thing I didn't understand was the difference between the LED headlight between the plus and premium models. They have the same exact wording but are listed as different.

I had that confusion as well, until I put on my correct prescriptions lenses. One has auto off only - it does not have auto on, the other has auto on and auto off. I don't get why there's a difference for that, if there's an auto off, there should be a corresponding auto on so you never have to deal with it. with auto off only, I image I'd be forgetting what I have it set at. Thank god for nav so I can remember my way home....;)

Well, I just built mine and sent it off to the dealer I have been working with. Maybe that will speed things up.

Consumer Reports has now added the Prime to it's website. Now I am waiting for Truecar so I can know about some of the real prices for the car and it's options.

Midwest area's build option is working now (wasn't yesterday). I wonder why the pics are so small? Doesn't allow any zoom-ins.

First of all, why is the base model called the Plus?

How does Toyota expect to still sell the Prius over the Prime? A 5th seat???

Even the Plus is super well equipped (with the exception of no smart key), but you know you gotta get the bigger screen, so the Premium seems like the sweet spot.
    Still...I would get the Advanced:p.

This also seems like a nice option. It says the OEM wheels are "Designed and engineered for optimal performance with your new Prius Prime"

There are fairly nice alloy wheels under those black and white frisbees. Remove those, and with the addition of some inexpensive center caps, they aren't all that bad looking, especially for no extra charge.

I ordered the Prius Prime Premium with the 15" 10-spoke alloy wheels, protection package, and alloy wheel locks.

Nice! Congrats. One of the first? People who don't want to wait a while for their Prime should order now.
