    By buying one...;)

Don't think there's one available yet. If you go to Toyotas website for prime you can download the sales brochure. That's all I know of that's been published.

I'm checking the site for the manual every day, but it's not there yet.

Just read that apparently there is a warning sound on the outside of the vehicle when driving in EV mode up to 15mph...I very much hope that this can be disabled similar to the disabling of the beeping when in return gear...

pedestrian warning system has been a feature on all prius since 2012. you can't hear it inside the car unless you're in an enclosed space with the window down.

Keep it as a momento of your time with the car when the Prime you want arrives.

I hope this manual is just an early edition .
Toyota can't be serious not giving us tie downs .
How are we supposed to secure luggage ?

When I got my '04, I read the manual cover-to-cover. Then when people asked questions here I reread it. Thanks for the link, @crewdog because now I can start my first pass-through early. (y)

I find that wearing my driving gloves while reading the manual puts me right in the driver's seat.

+1, as I've written before in another couple threads. I'll be paying to add my own. And posting pictures and another open letter to Toyota on why these $2 items are so important.

Ever take your 2.5 gallon gas container to the gas station and back so you can continue to mow your lawn? I guess no one at Toyota ever has! Can you imagine their liability when gallons of gas pour down into their BIG battery in case the load shifts and falls over?

What are you going to attach them to, the carpet?

I always put that on the floor in front of the back seat trapped between the back seat and the front seat.

Too close to driver...unless you keep all the windows open. I put it in the back, in the corner against the back of the back seat, with a bag of kitty litter to hold it.

But there should definitely Be tie downs....

Yes, and I always place the container into a large garbage bag for transport after filling. So, if I had dribbled on the side while filling, no mess in the car. It prevents any possible smell too. As for keeping it secure, I just toss that bag into a plastic crate.
