Everything went well. I had a 17mm "cone wrench"($10 from any bike shop, stamped from eighth in steel) from bicycle maintenance days that was perfect to hold the glide pins while torquing them. I spent about 5 hours putzing around with the adventure. One minor hiccup in that I was going to use blue dot 4 brake fluid as its easy to see when the new blue fluid appears out the caliper but didn't because the brake fluid cap didn't say, "dot 3 or 4." So a quick side trip to the auto parts store for dot 3. I also removed the glide pin boots and cleaned and lubricated them so moisture stays out of there. I'm so glad I had various torque wrenches as I don't do this stuff enough to come even close to the correct tightness by feel alone. The filter holder was again tighter than I would of expected(I'm sure it was torqued correctly last change) and can only conclude there is some kind of bonding with heat, oil, container, and time going on between threads and oil over time.
And that's all the news from Lake Woebegone.
    Thanks for all the help

Don't forget to store your torque wrenches at 0 foot-pounds

The last one I got said to store at 10 ft/lb. Not sure if that's a universal maxim, but that's what I've started doing.

Since your "Winter Service Plan" is far more detailed and complete than I think the vast majority of people apply, I suspect your not REALLY looking for critique as much as looking for applause.

    Therefore, I say, Bravo....and I clap.
That's great DIY preparation and maintenance.

The only, minimal critique I could possibly raise, would be to ask when you last changed your coolant? You are doing so much, but only checking the level of the coolant.

But I'm guessing this is NOT an issue.

One little nit is that I wouldn't do the air conditioner refresh. It's questionable whether it works. What does work is to remove and clean all of the shroud materials needed in a spark plug change, but if I lived in a cold weather state, I'd do that in the Spring.

Nope wasn't looking for applause; just a bit of wisdom, as the Prius, to me anyway, can be a bit bewildering. The comments and pdfs have been most helpful. Is there any benefit to changing the coolant at 60K? The one thing I will do next is clean out the egr pipe. Thanks again for all the help.

I think you're asking great questions. I changed my coolants at 80,000 and they looked perfect. Definitely could have waited longer. So I think you can wait.

Yeah just follow schedule schedule for coolant. US maybe specs diff interval for engine vs inverter? I'd be inclined to do both at first interval.

We get 55% mix up here:

I suppose Alaska it'd be back to 50% lol.

I don't know if you need to change it...feedback seems to suggest you do not.
    But I'd check it.

You know in the Summer we call it coolant....
In the winter we call it Anti-Freeze....

Making sure your Anti-Freeze is potent I think an important factor, especially if living in a cold winter environment.
But it seems Toyota rates theirs to last longer.
