is it front to back, and reclining, or is the something else, like height adjust?

Toyota used to offer 8-way power front seats on vehicles with power front seats. All other midsize sedans (and some luxury sedans!) offered a 4-way power passenger seat. I checked out a Venza recently and it had 6-way power passenger seat but the 5th/6th wasn't height - it was lumbar adjustment. I didn't check a Camry for this model year but recently, it still had 8-way power passenger seat.

8 way used to be full power -- front/back tilt, recline, forward/ back whole seat. It's becoming a bit crazy -- the old MB seats had few adjustments -- and you could drive them for hours.

agreed. i think in a larger more expensive car, where mpg's are not a consideration, it's easier to install comfy seats.
however, mb used to have the attitude, 'we've designed this car perfectly, no adjustments are necessary'. they didn't even have tilt telescoping steering wheels until lexus came along. one size fits all!:p

My passenger seat can only slide front to back and recline forward and backward. No height or lumbar adjusting. All manually. I get why they don't have height adjustability (because the passenger doesn't have to see the road perfectly), but why no lumbar support? I would give up 1 or 2 MPG for some nice Lexus seats (with cooling).

agreed. the question came up because someone posted above that the showroom brochure doesn't mention passenger seat adjustments until pkg 4, which made it sound like they were something special.

True. Many Toyotas have cooled seats though. Car reviewers say that these cars have Lexus-like seats (makes sense, they're related).

Well it's starting to trickle down.

Hmm, let's see. Avalon Limited, Sienna Limited, Sequoia Platinum, Highlander Limited. I think that's it, right?

I have both in my Avalon. Use the cooling feature much more. (SoCal)
