I purchased a used 2011 prius 1 from Ebay with 265k on it. The car was a taxi. I had it transported to my home in Indianapolis and found it in much worse shape than I had hoped for. Most of the bugs worked out but have one issue to fix. A p080 error I get at random occasions. I reset it with my scan gauge and continue to drive. The battery shows two bars and within 5 minutes it is always back to full charge and normal operation. I rarely get another p080 within 5 minutes and am usually ok for a day or two. The error happens most always when I am driving at slow speeds under 30 using the traction battery more than the motor. I can feel the error coming on as I get a vibration similar to a miss from a spark plug or bad coil. I can usually avoid the error but either backing off or applying more throttle. I pulled the traction battery shield and put a voltmeter on each battery and they all read 8.3. Is it something else beside the batteries? Or is it I did not test the batteries properly?

testing. you need mini vci w/ tech stream, and a laptop. then you can test the batteries under load. a worthwhile investment if you're going to diy your car.

Just a check on the code you're reporting: DTCs are all five characters. So are you talking about P0080, or P080something, or Psomething080, etc.?

Also, you might find that the PriusChat community can be more helpful with a particular DTC if you first look it up yourself, and include what the DTC means (or at least what the manual says it means) in your post. That way, everybody who reads your post is immediately able to start thinking about your issue. When you post only the code, you are sort of limiting your responses to (a) people who already have that code memorized, and (b) people who have their manuals open and time to look it up before responding.
In a sense, that lets 1 person (you) do the bit of advance effort in looking up what the code means, so that n people (your readers) are able to apply their brainpower to your issue without having to duplicate that bit of effort first.

Another thing worth keeping in mind is that most DTCs can be triggered by some small variety of causes: that is, knowing the DTC narrows down the possible trouble areas, but won't point you straight to the final culprit without a bit more gumshoe work. When you include the code's meaning in your question, you tend to get a larger number of people thinking about it for you, whereas if you post only the code, your responses tend to be from people who have fussed with that code recently, most likely from having recently had a problem that gave the same code, who may tell you a lot about that problem, which may or may not be helpful before you know whether you're getting that code for the same reason they were.

Not to mention it even (sometimes) happens, as you're looking up what the code means so you can post it, you think " ... oh ... " and end up answering your own question. :)
