If we buy a Lexus all this problem will go away. Lol love my Prius any way. Agreed with you! I think is a little better than Gen 3.

What are the specifications of the standard model and what is in the luxury pack?

Am assuming this will be the same in the uk. Do your non plugin Gen4vmodels follow the same pattern as the UK ones with the same specs for each one?

Those are the anchor points for a child's seat.

No, those are the covers for those anchor points. I consider them a big improvement because they are supposed prevent stuff from falling down between the seat bottom and the seat back.

I tested them at my last test drive, and my son did too. He said he didn't fell pushed forward by them, and neither did I.

As compared to my Gen 3 Prius 2, my Prime Plus (which is at the dealership to install accessories and which I only took a test ride) is a lot more complex in terms of the electronics. I suspect simpler is better for most people (remember flashing time on old vcrs). I like simpler myself too.

Simpler is more complex. To overcome the "flashing time" issue, devices have become self-updating.

Software developers, like myself, look for ways to provide a simple interface which offers a great deal of flexibility... For example: customizable screens.

Here's a thing I like that I haven't seen mentioned yet. The dashboard clock finally sets itself from the GPS signal.
I often wondered why my 2010 ATP did not since it was able to give me an arrival time onscreen, but I had to set the clock manually.

The heated seat switch on the passenger side is out of view of the driver. The driver has to lean way over to the right to see if it has been left on. Would like to have seen an auto off each time the car is shut down and/or an indicator on the dash that it is on.

Have a look at page 514 of the manual it says:
    Passenger side operation indicator:

    Illuminates while the passenger side
seat heater is operating, allowing the
    operating condition of the passenger
side seat heater to be checked from the
    driver side as well.

What I meant was the dizzying array of switches (some of which are multi-function) and data being displayed. I would think things like this are going beyond the capacity of most non-technical people to comprehend. Information overload. I mean, I'm an engineer and I'm being bothered by this. That's one reason I bought the Plus (I wanted cloth seats too). I didn't want the driving distraction of that huge, ugly, Tesla-esqe screen in my face.

Maybe you should give it a shot !?
Whenever I come home from work and don't know how my favourite football team played,I ask "google" and get the answer straightaway.
That's only one example, of course you can ask basically anything you want .

I've used "OK Google", and never found it useful.

I don't have access to an Apple device to try Siri.

I use Google voice assistant a fair bit. I use it to call people and to set nav destination, and stopovers, and while not driving I use it for web searches too.

Seems to work well for me.

I am liking my Advance, though I have noticed most of the annoyances others have called out - my stock Toyos are noisy, the back up beep is grating (I will happily have that turned off/down at the dealer), LDA seems to be mostly symbolic. Driving around town in EV Mode is great, but I took a 400mi trip on the highway over the weekend which was mostly fine - my fuel indicator was down to 1/16 when I fueled - 8gal exactly. So there should have been at least 3.3gal left... that seems awfully conservative on Toyota's part. My Nexus 6p is unimpressed by the usb port, I will have to get a better 12V plugin, also the display also periodically flashes 'device unsupported' when it's plugged in, which gets old. I only briefly played with the HUD, the angle seems to be very low, I can't really see it without hunching over (I'm 6'1", not unusually tall).

The HUD can be adjusted in the vertical direction. Turn it off with the button and then turn it back on. You should have 6 seconds to hit the up arrow.
