Some of us may never know if they do not supply the dealers.

it will be interesting to see if they start ramping up production, or try to keep demand high with the trickle down economics.

Glad I picked the Hypersonic Red. Especially after a designer told me...
.. always choose the colour the manufacturer used mainly in its brochures and publicity, because that's the one they think suits the car best of all.

Interesting. Third gen favoured the pearlescent white prominently, for comparison.

My faith in Toyota's styling isn't what it used to be, and so I always LOOK at the car in person.
For smaller cars, I prefer very vibrant colors for no other reason than they tend to be more visible.
Being turned into a new car shopper (or, an organ donor) can and does also happen in larger cars, which is why I prefer vibrant colors for THEM too....;)

Yeah, sometimes when you're an OWD driving around in the reds and yellows sometimes makes others think that you're reaching a little, but they have to be able to SEE you to notice, and all of the dusky, flat earth tones that were popular in the 2010s tend to fade into obscurity when mixed with rain or fog - to say nothing of the jerks out there who will not put their phones down while they drive.

Actually, the most visible color at a distance is white. That is why my last couple of cars have been white. The exception, of course, is in blizzard or fog conditions. I do not think color helps much there.

you used to be able to buy a toyota sight unseen, and know that if you had insomnia, you could just go have a look at it and it would put you to sleep.

To top it off, red cars go faster! So do red motorcycles. That's why most of my bikes were red. :ROFLMAO:

I haven't yet seen a Gen 4 in RED - when I bought mine, the salesman said it would be at least 3 months before they could get one.

Ummm Perhaps the UK is not next door to Australia? That may have affected things too.

My most visible car was a BRIGHT YELLOW VOLVO (photo is a bit duller than in real life - flash at night):
    upload_2017-1-19_10-52-28.png

I bought it as a cheap run-around, and when the children saw it they said "Dad, if you HAD to buy a VOLVO, did it have to be fluorescent YELLOW".

2 years later, my daughter (in the photo above at her engagement party) had been hit quite badly in her University car, 2nd time writing it off. I offered her the YELLOW VOLVO, thinking she's not be keen as it wouldn't be cool. "Yes, Dad, a YELLOW VOLVO would be great - they're out to get me in Brisbane". So she drove it the next 2 years.

But about ½ my cars have been white, which is easy to maintain.
