We have a member that sells out of Tampa, at tampahybrids.com. His name is Todd, he has a huge inventory and low prices. Since he's somewhat of a prius expert, his cars should be very dependable

Spark plugs - Same as OEM
"Tranny" (quotes because the Prius doesn't really have a transmission, just a transaxle really) fluid - Same as OEM, IIRC this is WS ATF. One person did a used oil analysis with a different oil and the results were bad. Stick to OEM, changes every 60k miles (Toyota doesn't call for ever changing this oil, but the general consensus on this forum is every 60k).
    Coolant - Same as OEM
Oil - In US Toyota calls for 5W-30 oil. My favorite is Mobil 1 0W-30 synthetic advanced fuel economy (meets 5W-30 spec, but is a bit thinner when cold for easier starts and more efficiency before engine is warm). You can buy a 5qt. bottle from Wal-Mart for $22-23. If I was changing the oil only for the winter and lived in a northern state, I'd use a 0W-20 synthetic for that change and then 0W-30/5W-30 in the summer. If I lived in a hot state, I'd use a 5W-30 synthetic.
Best Diagnostic Tool - A $15-20 Mini Vci USB cable with Techstream installed on a laptop

My toyota dealer charges 97.99 plus tax to use this diagnostic system crazy that i can do it myself an its super easy. Saved there. I think the only thing as of right now i would have them do is the transaxel fluid as i dont have the correct equiptment to fill. Drain is easy but i never seen a fill like this before.

Todd is my go-to guy. He's like a Prius guru. I've bought four from him so far. If you can get over here, I'm sure he can give your new buggy a look-see and show you the ropes. And if you need any parts, he's a good source for used parts at a fair prices. You can contact him via his web site.
