Hello all! I purchased an aux usb/mp3 adapter for my 2005 Toyota Prius. The install worked perfectly except for one thing, the adapter was not compatible with my factory installed touch screen radio. All the adapters I can find are for iPhones (no I am not purchasing an iPhone, thank you). Anyone know of an adapter for mp3 that works with the Toyota touch screen radios? The factory radio is a Matsushita 86120-47090 with a 6x6 pin port. Thank you for all your time.

    Hello!
I've bought this one for my 2008 Prius (European/German version):
ZEMEX V3.1 Bluetooth für Toyota (ZXV3TO1)
It works fine and offers Bluetooth too. So I can use it for streaming from my cellphone and for hands-free speaking.

    Edit:
While using an USB stick, you can use the touch screen. But you won't see anything. The display will only show the CD changer screen and you can press the numbers for title+/- and folder+/- and you can use the steering wheel keys for title+/- too.
But I prefer Bluetooth streaming because of the title information at the phone.

I read the description and it says it's for the iPhone. I need one for the Android/mp3. Thanks for your reply.

I'm sorry to say that you're not right:
You can use it with USB stick (even USB card readers with SD or micro SD) and via Bluetooth. I own a Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android and it works fine!
But it has an additional port for an adapter cable (not included) to connect iPhones directly.

OK, thanks for the update. I read the description (I'm in the states and Euro) and it says it's for iPhone and iPad. I'll research for more information on it. If you have the Galaxy phone (which is what I have) then maybe it will work.

OK so according the the website, the Zemex 3.1 would work but it had features I was not looking for. Thank you MickyMatter for your help. With the direction you pointed me to, I found an adapter from APPS2CAR that was exactly what I wanted. It is a USB charger/ AUX controller that us compatible with my Toyota touch screen factory radio. I found it on Amazon for $59.99 US. Lets hope it actually works. Quick update for those following this thread. I purchased an bluetooth/usb/aux adapter from APPS2CAR for around $60. It works well but I cannot get the aux or the microphone to work.

for what it's worth, i have one of these, and it works brilliantly.
all tracks and albums are displayed on the factory touch screen.

not the cheapest solution, but well worth it i think.

i have a video here showing the unit in operation.

Yeah, mine works too except the microphone (for talking hands free) or the aux port. Since it it my daughters car, I haven't been able to test a non-paired phone on the aux port yet. I will update you all, when and if I'm able to test it. It still doesn't answer the microphone problem. I will need to go get a different microphone to see if that works.

Can you share a link to the unit you purchased.
There seem to be so many options.
Would be good for folks to see specifics.
