IMG_0008.JPG IMG_0007.JPG IMG_0006.JPG IMG_0005.JPG I have the iOttie Easy Flex 3 Car Mount on the dash just above the left vent. I use this with my iPhone 6s (the small one) and it fits just right. Very inconspicuous too. With this setup, I can flip it down and let the AC cool the phone when driving long distances while using the GPS.

I can, if I choose to, also watch something on the iPhone without anyone knowing what I doing as there is limited visibility from the outside to see what's playing on on the phone.

The one thing about this set up is that the Lightning cable starts from just under the center armrest and is snaked around the steering column.

    Nice. Looks great!

Did I read your post correctly? Are you saying you watch videos on your phone whilst you drive, or just when parked up?

I respectfully decline to answer and exercise my Fifth Amendment right! I definitely watch while I'm parked waiting while the family is shopping.

How securely did it attach to the dimpled fascia?

Upgraded as I'm spending many more hours in the car, so fitted the charger with USB Type C port for my Pixel

Wow. Are you going to be living in your car soon? Probably cheaper than a house in London with all that council tax and everything else. Seriously though, my Nexus 6 draws a lot of current, so I bought a £6 twin USB adapter for the power socket. One's 1amp, the other's 2amps. Mind you, the phone has a huge battery capacity capable of quick charging through the supplied adapter and gets very warm. Same on the Qi charger in the car. Not enough to cook eggs, but a great hand warmer!

It's very secure and no jiggling. The mount has a very sticky pad and its been taken out an placed in several areas (first in my previous car and now this) before it reached this spot where it has stayed for months now.

I see that you have removed the flap off the USB port, was that easy to remove without breaking it or did you just pull it off?

    Thanks

It came off by accident when I was pulling out the aux cable for the Amazon Echo. It went back in fine and flips up and down as normal.

    I've got the 2. It's awesome!

The 3 is supposed to be even better! Especially: the 2 may damage dash boards, but the 3 May be much better on that. It also has a redesigned arm, which I already thought was very good, except for a little wobbly up and down on very bumpy roads. (I'd stl give the 2 an A rating, so presumably the 3 is an A+) !

Thats great. I will have a very small USB dongle in my Excel when I get it in a couple of weeks for all my music and the thought of having a tab flapping around would annoy me so its good to know it comes of easily enough (y)

    Thank you :)

This may be the best of both worlds. A Qi charger within a magnetic mount. Ive used magnetic mounts for years with great success even with the heavy Iphone 6S Plus. Now I can have both! I cant post links since im new but search amazon or google for
Neotrix Magnetic Wireless Car Charger Dock, Mobile Cell Phone Air Vent / Dashboard / Windshield Magnet Car Mount Holder Cradle and Charger for Qi Standard Enabled Devices

Not sure this solves the problem but it's a neat idea. Not sure it's worth paying for another Qi charger when USB or lighting cables would work just as well. Also, some phones have a curved rear which could be another problem.

Did you just use the suction pad to attach to the dash?

Did you have to glue the dashboard pad first and then use the suction pad? Can the dashboard pad come off and the dash be cleaned afterwards? (the dashboard pad is a black disk with glue on one side)

I am a afraid if the glue will leave permanent mark on the dash....

I tried it without the adhesive dashboard pad and it worked fine.

My suction cup came with some kind of adhesive material. Over a few moves from one vehicle to another, dirt got into the adhesive part and it wouldn't stick. Just a quick rinse with water restored the adhesive qualities and still stays secured.

I tried a lot may be 8 dash mounts but I ended up with this one, does not even block the small front little window or any windshield view which is important to me.

Bought this one I hate it, it's like my phone is in a freaking earthquake all the time, and resting the arm on the dash, don't forget to place a foam or something, or else it will scratch that dash.

Hi you never mentioned what brand or model this mount is. Thanks
