UK 2017 PHEV (i.e. Prime) Dates, Pricing?

    I have good news for UK PHV Buyers. Yesterday I received a further email from Paul Van der Burgh's office, saying, among other things:

    "I am therefore pleased to inform you that we are able to bring down the price of Prius Plug-In by £3,200 versus its initial communicated price. Factoring in the £2,500 available for new car purchases through the UK Government’s plug-in vehicle grant scheme, the new range is now available to customers from just £29,195 – more than £2,000 less than the cost of the previous Prius Plug-in. I can confirm that this new position has now been communicated to our Dealer Network and the new Prius Plug-In web chapter with new pricing will be live tomorrow morning on our national website. Please see below the full line-up and relevant prices.

    Hope this new pricing decision will be across all Europe, bringing the entering price from EUR ~38000 down to EUR ~35500 (before any incentive).

    Read somewhere that this reduction will be UK only and not reflected elsewhere in Europe. Can't find it at the mo.

    Might be in "Next Green Car", or "Auto Express" reports on the price reduction.
