Not only does WeatherTech now have the Prime floor liners available, they've got them in stock at their retail location in Bolingbrook. For me, just a few miles down Rte. 53. Saves about $18 in shipping; a buck per mile. The bonus is their huge free coffee bar (latte, cappuccino, espresso) and muffin tops, thanks to Dave MacNeil!

Waaay bigger showroom than their previous 15' x 15' space at their old Downers Grove location. I really wanted to buy the set of four drink coasters, but that would have been a luxury item.

I got my WeatherTech floormats online.

Now if I only had a Prime to put them in...

You're not the only one. The floor liners I now have. Rain-X I have. Center wheel caps I still need to order (plastic frisbees are coming off immediately), as well as a spare donut wheel/tire. Car will be late July (est.) EDIT: Ooopps, also forgot the L2 EVSE plus the electrician's visit!

    Merged

OK, question for those who have ordered (and received) their Prime as stock, with no dealer added floor mats...

Does anything come with the car covering the rear deck? Does this pic in this thread: Bragging Rights !!!!!!! | Page 12 | PriusChat show one of the optional carpet mats? Or is there some deck covering underneath that carpet mat? Reason I'm asking is that WeatherTech has nothing for the rear deck yet. Moreover, the WT deck liner I have in my Gen3 is big time overkill, and I think a waste of money in retrospect. But I want something over it. What are my options?

Somewhat related question. Dealer wants $55 for the black shifter plate cover, installed. Good deal, or not?

Next to my floormats, waiting somewhat patiently in the garage, is a receiver hitch. The expectation (first day of scheduled delivery window) for my Prime is 3 days from now.

    I
John, our dealership mentioned to me that they sold WeatherTech mats as well. Did you find them a lot cheaper online?

I went through etrailer.com, since I knew that's who I'd be purchasing my hitch from and knew they'd have that for a great price. More experience with them works out nice for recommending them to others later. Currently, I'm waiting to see how quickly they refund my purchase of that incorrect hitch. They emailed a return label right away, making the send back very easy.

Just ordered the OEM weather mats and cargo liner as well. Will you guys just place them over the carpet mats for additional protection? Looking at possibly selling those since I wont really need them...

Be sure to REMOVE your original carpeted mats. If you don't you run the risk of the mat getting hung up on your throttle peddle and that could not possibly have a favorable outcome. Very important...

Yeah the new mats cannot be secured to the floor clip on the driver's side if the old mats are still installed

I have those and they are cool and do a good job of protection.

I had the original Factory carpeted mats, and my late wife had bought me the very thin plastic all weather mats for the Prius. I've installed those plastic mats on top of the factory carpet mats and they are absolutely flush and there is no interference whatsoever with the peddles in that they've been cut out quite a bit. They also have very sharp projections on the bottom of them that embed them into the carpet mat so they do not move around at all. I used this configuration of mats for over a hundred thousand miles on my previous Prius with no problems whatsoever. Also, my original factory mats were perfect when I sold the car.

Always remove carpet and other mats first before you place the floor liner in. Dave explains it here, and in detail -- in at 3:20 or so.

What covering, if any, comes standard on the Prime Advanced for the rear deck? Is it just a grey mouse-fur cardboard-like covering with the hinges that open the three lower bins? Or is it that nicer carpet with the Prime logo? In other words, if I order an Advanced with no mats whatsoever, what will I get over the cargo deck?

Good communication and tracking from this vendor looks like a Toyota dealership at a Washington state. Mine will be here in the day Tuesday total for mats and cargo liner with shipping was $207, my dealer after spending better than $30,000 on this car wanted to charge me better than $320 for the exact same stuff. And one is actually delivered directly to my home as opposed to me having to go get it
