WOW - the asking price is pretty amazing for that one of a kind vehicle. I'd be tempted but don't need another Prius (or another car for that matter).

You would reply to the seller via the Craig's List website if interested.

Hmmmmm....isn't it right about time for the hybrid battery to start showing problems? I bet that is going to be a ****** to replace.......Wonder if construction took that into account?

Is that like paying MSRP or even a premium for one of the first PIP?

I agree, worst looking modification ever. You could have got a nice fun convertible like a miata or s2000. This thing is just a lesson why some ideas should just remain in our heads. The funniest part is writing a check for $18,000 for that hideous custom top and still making note of the fuel economy.

Wow. After years of reading PC I decided to join to thank Exproducer. Thanks for the excellent replies. Thanks for returning to the same post for years.

I was just about to chop my original G2 after 400k miles and am now rethinking. Your details gave me clarity.

(Also: thanks to Prius chat for helping me out on new springs, change out MFD and dash display, fix mass flow, and prepare for cell renewal) I'm on my third g2 now and am ready to modify the original.
