Battery for Gen 3 remote

    Getting battery low..on dashboard, What kind of battery is needed for the open the door etc..remote...and how do you open the remote..?

    the battery is a CR-2032 (I think).

    Remove the metal key from the fob.
    gently pry apart the 2 halves of the fob.
    replace the battery

    CR1632 is the one you want. Buy the double pack if available, it's cheaper and you should change them in both fobs anyway.

    CR1632 confirmed. I just opened mine to look. Much easier, btw than the Gen 2 fob. Push the button on the side that says, "Push." Then use the end of the key that pulls out to pry open the case. Battery is under the circuit board.
