I keep hearing good stuff about the Michelins. Always thought they were really good tires on other cars. It'll be a while before I can get another set though. The PiP came with brand new Yokohama Avids and I really have no complaints about them so far.

I think that there is little danger of harming yourself with a Prius in the Ready Mode in most enclosed spaces unless there has been significant attention paid to making sure the area has a very good seal. The ICE will run for 1 or 2 minutes per hour unless the AC is on and the temperature is over 90 degrees. That amount of carbon monoxide, while not healthy, will not harm you and will dissipate quickly in most garages. And, since CO is lighter than air, any accumulation will end up above the car any way, unless your windows are open.

Mine are Nanoenergy J16's. Hold the road really well in wet or dry, but oh how they amplify the road noise over rippled surfaces!

Mine are 17" Toyo Nanoenergy R41 and they're very quiet on all but the roughest surfaces. I don't know if it's because the Gen 4 is quieter anyway or it's just the tyres, but it's a lot quieter than the Gen 3 was on 17" Michelin Primacy tyres. Michelin Primacy were supposed to be one of the quietest tyres out there in 2010 but the road noise in the Gen 3 was what drove me to trade it in. Having said they were supposed to be the quietest, road noise ratings on tyres in the UK are actually drive by noise, so don't really tell you how noisy they are inside the car. Ignoring suspension etc, I'd guess the hardness (compound) of the tyres and the tread pattern would have a lot to do with it. A mate of mine had a Nissan Micra which had a very fine tread pattern on his tyres and there was very little road noise inside his car.

They get noisier as they age, too.

Our Michelin Pilot hx MXM4 are at a dull roar now, old as dust, plenty of tread left though. :)

I love the Bridgestone's. My new favorite tire.

So what was your outcome and how long is the 12 volt battery warranted?

One great piece of advice I read is to never sit for extended periods of time with the Prius in the accessory mode. If I am parked and remain in the car, I leave it in ready mode. I can use the radio and AC with no worries. Even the parking lights.

If you're obsessive about mpg you basically shut it right down whenever you're stopped. Better for battery too.

The OP mentioned a "low 12v battery" warning. I'm glad the Prius provides that advisory message.

Recently (last 8 years) I have had terrible luck with the Mickey tires. You could do much worse than factory OEMs. The Bridgestone's have come a long way in quality over the years and as of today are my favorite tires. Tomorrow may be a different answer. You are only as good as the last tire you made me.:ROFLMAO:
