Looking for a way to easily transferred directions from my iPhone to the Prius Advance dashboard somehow.

Say I look up something on Google maps or Apple Maps and now I want to go there is there a way to transfer that location to the map software on the car without having to enter the address in again?

IDK, but you know what's really annoying? Having to go to your phone and get directions then pressing start on your phone, not realizing that info will play as directions along with the GPS of the car giving directions at the same time, very confusing. I found out what was going on when I pushed the audio button to mute and the only GPS that was was left was the car's GPS:eek::confused:

I can't right off think of a *good* way to do that, but conceptually, I suppose one could create a contact in your iPhone for that location and then sync that contact into the P.Prime, then go to that location.

That's not particularly convenient, but maybe there's a way to streamline that process to make it more convenient...

That would not copy the *route*, of course; just the destination.

Admittedly, this is a weird idea, more of a work around. But would it work thorough the verbal command system of the Prius Nav system? Could the phone speak the address into the mic of the Prime?

Nice out-of-the-box suggestion! Might work better for the human to do so.

Yes totally out-of-the-box thinking:) Very very out-of-the-box I like it. A little cumbersome but it could work

What I am noticing Or have noticed. Is that if I do a Google search for something It provides me With an address I tried to copy paste that address from Google To The iPhone software "entune" For the car And it does not take it. And even if I enter in the address Into the "nutune" on my phone, It then does not display in the car as saved or searched areas I would think that anything That is part of the linking software It should display back-and-forth.

Yeah I know you don't want to get a Garmin, but since I already have one, I will sometimes Google to find a particular place, and then read the address to my Garmin which finds it quickly and keeps it handy for me without interfering with my car. Of course many times, the Garmin will have that place as a point of Interest, so I can shortcut the steps above. Dude, for $350, it's totally worth it! BTW, I keep the Garmin nuvii 3490LMT stuck to lower left corner of the windshield.

I love my Garmin. I have two of them One For my previous car, the other for my motorcycle. Really is nice to have The one on my motorcycle, does what I'd like it to do .I.e. I can find something on Google and then transfer it To the mobile app And it displays on the Garmin. Just wanting This car since it's got such a nice map display To operate Seamlessly so we're not having to have multiple devices making the dashboard look a little clunky in my opinion. Also more things to have to put away when you park your car in a public place.

Totally agree Mr. Dallas: there's just too much junk out front!! (As opposed to some rap videos with too much "junk in the trunk"). I just wish my Garmin's functionality could somehow be incorporated into my Prime's system.
Til then, just call me Dr. Dash Clutter!

well will hope someone is reading these and try to make the system work better. Prior to me buying the previous prime, on my 2010 I had replaced the radio with car play, Really really liked that piece I thought I read somewhere that Another car maker has a similar display, I think it was Volvo Where half–Display, Displayed Apple's car play
