We have a 2014 Prius Plug-In. We are having twins in July so we would need to fit two rear-facing infant car seats in the backseat. We are looking for something lightweight so maybe the Nuna Pipa, Graco Snugride Click Connect 35, or Graco Snugride Click Connect 30.

Does anyone know if those car seats (with the base) would fit behind the front and passenger seat respectively? My husband is 5'9 and and I'm 5'0 tall. Thanks!

According to my daughter Radian has the narrowest seats. Not sure if they're available in states, but check it out. Good seats, I've put them in a few times.

They were doing 3 in a Maxim

We currently do 2 forward facing and one rear facing in our PiP. The Diono Radian goes in the middle and a regular size rear facing Graco carrier and regular size Graco car seat. The carrier is behind the driver as that door is more accessible in our garage.

Prior to that we had a the rear facing carrier in the middle and the Diono Radian on the side which allowed a third adult to fit behind the driver.

And prior to that it was rear facing carrier in the middle.

I can tell you any carrier will fit just fine rear facing. It's all down to the driver and how they like to sit. I'm 5'7" and there is a couple of inches behind my seat before I hit the carrier. It's not a lot and I like sitting upright and closer to the wheel than most people. I can see someone 5'9" being perturbed. Keep in mind, it's about figment and not necessarily size. Just because it's smaller doesn't mean it will fit better.

I'll buy an SUV or minivan when they take my Prius from my cold dead fingers.... or I have a 4th child.

Does that mean there's still a thought of another little male mmmodem running around to balance out all the females:whistle:?

We're pretty adamant no... but we're still young. That Diono Radian is pretty incredible. It's pricey at $300 but I get to keep my car.

We have 3 Diono's as a 3-across solution with only the middle seat rear facing.
It does bump into the seat backs, and that's on a Gen2 which is famous for rear seat space (because Gen2 limited the front seat back-travel on the rails). I don't know if we could adjust the Diono seat to make it fit in behind a seat, and obviously the front seats can be moved forward.
