I had my 12v battery replaced at the beginning of this month after the technicians said it was dead. Last Friday, I had my hybrid battery replaced by hybrid battery technicians because I was getting the typical error codes and lights for that issue too. It was also driving like crap and wouldnt even make it up hills.
After it was repaired, the car ran fine for about a day, even getting better gas mileage than before, but then at the end of the day after it was replaced, all the lights came back on. I parked the car and turned it off. When I came back to start the car again, the lights all came back on like before it was repaired and now the engine will not start at all. The car will not move. I tried to check the codes, but without the engine starting, the code reader cant pick up anything.
I can't take it back to the techs because my warranty only covers the issue if it is specifically hybrid battery related. Plus, the car wont move to bring it anywhere and I cant check the codes to see if it is the hybrid battery again.
    Please help me out here.
Picture below of lights that are on when I turn on the car.

I believe the hybrid battery that was put in is a bad battery. With a possible high voltage leak in it. That's why your car won't start. You would need to read the codes on the car to determine the problem.

You should have the battery tech come to you with this issue. Where did you find this tech?

    SM-N900P ?

You need to get on the phone with who ever swapped your HV battery and have them come fix it. At a minimum, they should be able to at least go online with the car using techstream to see what is going on.

I used Hybrid Battery Repair Docs based out of FL. My confusion as to why it would be a hybrid battery issue is that the car ran for an entire day after the repair with no issues. Then all the lights came back on, I parked and turned the car off, and now it wont start at all. If it was the battery, why would it drive fine for a day and THEN just die? Even before I had it replaced, I could drive it with the battery that was going bad? Now I can't drive it at all.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately nobody is really able to answer you until you get the codes read.

    1. Disconnect the 12V battery, wait a few minutes, then reconnect. See if the car will become READY.
    2. If it does, then drive it until warning lights come back on, then have the DTC retrieved.
    3. Or buy Mini VCI and run that on a Windows XP or Windows 7, 32 bit OS laptop.
    4. If the car will not become READY after performing #1 above, then have the car towed for professional assistance at your Toyota dealer.

In order to get it moved to check the codes at Advanced Auto Parts, I had to undo the 12v battery and then the engine came on, but it also cleared the codes. When it was plugged up at the store, the only code was C1241.

C1241: Low Battery Positive Voltage. C1241 means that the 12V power supplied to the ECU was abnormally low.

I found the above info from a post by Patrick Wong. Could it be that the 12v auxiliary battery installed was a bad one? Check for corrosion on the battery connections. Also check if there is a loose connection. Start there first. Worst case could be bad skid control ECU.

The 12v battery was replaced with a brand new one on 3/17. The hybrid battery was replaced in 4/21.

That does not preclude you from checking that the 12 V voltage is not low nor checking that both the 12 V battery terminals and the earth connection (from the negative terminal) to the car body are all clean and tight. Check the obvious first.

I am now getting another code in addition to the C1241. It is C1310.

No corrosion found on battery connections.

    Help

Try the below steps to check your 12v auxillary battery and report back:

Without brake pedal, press the Power button once and release to enter ACC mode
    - Press and hold the MFD Info button, then turn the headlights on and off three times to enter Maintenance mode; release Info button
    - Press “Menu” (on screen)
    - Press “Display Check”
    - Press “Vehicle Signal Check” - the battery voltage is shown and should be about 12.4 to 12.8 Volts (normal for an unloaded battery)
    - Again without brake pedal, press Power button and release to put a current load on the battery - the voltage should stay above 12.0V (if less than 12.0V the battery is not well, or there is a fault or unusual load somewhere)
    - Press brake pedal and press Power button once to enter "Ready" mode - the battery is now charging at about 14V (if less than 13.6V or more than 14.4 there may be a problem with the charging circuit)
    - Turn car OFF to leave Maintenance mode

    *Thank you @jdenenberg!

It's hard to help those who won't listen..........Advice has been given but no one can force you to take it. For the most-part, the guys on here are pretty smart. Re-read this topic from the beginning. Heed the advice. Maybe your code reader is not picking up the proprietary Toyota codes. If you disconnect the 12v neg terminal, wait a couple minutes and then connect it back, what happens? Everything clears and the car will go to 'ready' again. Right? I believe someone mentioned a HV leak fault is the cause of that symptom...........if that's the case, odds are pretty good there's a HV battery issue...................and please verify the 12v......................take it or leave it.........

I did the above walkthrough. When I am in ACC mode the battery is at 12.6 and 12.5. When in ready mode it is at 11.9 and 12.1. When started with brake pedal it is st 14.1 and 14.3.
Is this just the battery or is there a more serious HV system issue happening according to the codes I listed throughout this post?
Don't know if I should take it to dealership or take it back to the mechanics and have them replace the 12v battery

IF, the 12 V battery will hold the voltage (11.9/12.1) for a good 10-15 min without dropping below 11 V, I would not replace it. However, that voltage indicates the battery is flat and needs to charged up to full. The easiest way to do this is with a modern automatic 3-4-amp charger with an AGM setting. It will take charging for 10 to 16 hours to fully charge, but if your charger is decent it will tell you when the battery is fully charged.
The code (C1310) points to a Malfunction in HV system, and I see no information that would indicate that that is unreasonable to continue investigating along those lines.
