Well the ashtrays are full on my '13 C-3 so I'm trading it in on a C-4. ;)

Actually it is because the second door lock actuator has failed......just OUT of warranty......and it about needs new tires. The only things I really did NOT like about it was the ridiculous price and procedure to update the GPS maps and the lack of a light in the back seat.

Anybody with a '17 C-4 care to comment on any of the "new" features....maybe the backup camera and the new generation of in-dash GPS ?

The new one STILL lack a light for the back seat. :(

    a) Did you read the thread about just exercising the door lock (flipping it on and off with your finger repeatedly) to fix it? Sounds like would be worth a try, and

    b) Buying a new car because the tires are worn and the GPS is out of date? Really? That's basically just a variation on "the ashtrays are full".

I assume you're just being a little sarcastic and you're current car is coming off lease or you're one of those folks who just likes to drive around in a newer car. Nothing wrong with that, if you can afford it. But the wording compelled me to comment - and that's my failing, sorry!

I'm interested in your opinion on the new LED headlights. I drove a 2014 Corolla with them - that was the first year that had them on the Corolla- and I was rather disappointed with the brightness compared to my 13 C's standard halogens.

    a) I was skeptical and tried to exercise it a bit; so did my wife. So far, it seems to have made it worse instead of better. There was an old thread on here from a guy who took a few failed ones apart to see what the actual failure IS.......but I forget his conclusion. I think it was electrical though, like bad solder joints.

    b) I've seen a LOT of years on this planet and DESPISE wasting any of the little time I have left with getting things fixed; especially if it appears that they shouldn't have broken in the first place (like the same parts failing early for about TEN YEARS and the company seemingly doing nothing to correct the problem).

I never lease. That is a waste of money. That is but one of several reasons why I can indeed afford to change cars whenever I want......and write a check. It hasn't always been that way though.

OK, I'll try to remember to check that.
I had assumed that the headlights would be the same.......since they don't update a lot of things on the C it seems.

    Traded in.
I don't like the hassle of a private sale.
