Is there much of a difference between an '05-'06 and an '09 Prius?

PCV is part of the crankcase ventilation system. It is a small item which costs only $11 but is a PITA to access, so their offer to change mine for the cost of the part is another reason why some things are best left to the dealer. The engine air-filter is another one which is easy to change. That and the cabin filter can be purchased from AutoZone (or wherever) for ~$30 for both!

I'd pay $58 for the dealer to change my cabin air filter ... IF ... they rotated my tires and washed, waxed, & detailed the car at no charge while they were at it. ... And fed me lunch while I waited. :D

Although you can get filters from AutoZone, I prefer to order Toyota brand filters from Amazon or an online Toyota dealer.
In my experience, many of the aftermarket filters appear to be inferior quality. The last time I bought an aftermarket cabin filter was just before a long trip when I did not have a spare or time to order one.

Good point. I saw the same. I got STP cabin & engine filters. Neither fit quite right. It was quicker to modify and make them fit, but the next filters will be oem. There's a dealer about 1-1/2 miles from my house and they seem pretty good so far.

I have also ordered from Toyota Parts and Accessories | MetroToyotaPartsNow.com
It is strange most 2017 models are not online so I ordered based on 2016 Prius.
