Are the new 2017.5 Prius' on the lots yet (with standard blind spot on two trims)?

    Are the new 2017.5 Prius' on the dealer lots yet (with standard blind spot on all trims but the one trim)? If not now, when?

    "Toyota is also enhancing the value of the Prius with car shoppers through adding its Safety Plus Package as standard for the Prius Two and higher trim levels. That package offers blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking assist offering drivers the ability to see their surroundings to safely park their car."

    I should add that the "Prius one" does not have the blind spot monitoring, etc. that comes with the Safety Plus Package. The Safety Plus Package is now standard only on two and above trims, and only in those made starting in April 2017. I'm wondering if the April-made Prii (with Safety Plus) have made it here to the US.

    FYI, here are four articles discussing Toyota's adding the "Toyota's Safety Plus Package" (with rear emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking assist) as standard to the two-and-up trim Prii for 2017.5...

    I saw those stories too. Toyota has the new brochure on their site and there is no added safety features on the Two. There is an optional Appearance Package for the Two that includes "Piano-black side-skirt rocker panels & Two-tone (black and gunmetal) front and rear bumpers".

    It hasn't showed up on toyota.com yet (but the Prius One has). That being said, it still advertises the Prius Two's MSRP as the starting price and not the Prius One.

    Since Toyota does not state that, perhaps the press was wrong and those added safety features will be for 2018.
    I doubt Toyota would update 2017 docs to add the One and change it again so close to the end of the model year.

    The changes were verified by a Toyota spokesperson in the Carsdirect article...

    The changes [including the addition of Safety Plus] were confirmed for CarsDirect today by Toyota spokesperson Nate Martinez with the following statement:

    "We are constantly striving to improve our vehicles for the benefit of our customers, including in key areas such as safety technology and value proposition. The Prius’ MY2017 changes reflect this commitment, and help to further distinguish America’s top-selling hybrid vehicle from its competition, without negatively impacting its MSRP.”

    One of the larger dealers I spoke to said their ship manifests show the 2017.5 Prii will show up from Japan to a US port soon, and should be in their lot by the end of the month or beginning of next month.

    On June 1 my local dealer is scheduled to get a bunch on the new 2017.5 Prii with the standard "Safety Plus Package" with Blind Spot Monitor, clearance and back sonar, Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS), and intelligent parking assist (IPA) on all trims two and up.

    EnglishSetter has one. I heard one dealer said they have a lot of the 2017.5 models now, and are offering a $1000 discount on the older 2017.0 models.

    They sure are. This Tuesday when I bought my car my dealer had a Blizzard Pearl Prius Two that had the option. It lists it being charged on the sticker as an option for $1,000 then had a $1,000 discount right underneath it. I was trying to decide between this one and the one I ended up with which was a Two Eco without the option. Eco's are harder to find and I didn't want to wait. The car is so small you don't really need it. Maybe the blind spot monitoring.
