With all the money you guys are saving on fuel, you can buy a portable swamp cooler and throw it in the back seat. :) I also get those silly messages in my 2016 non-pip. For "entertainment purposes only" and I just ignore them. Apparently the car doesn't realize I'm driving thru Phoenix in 107 degree heat! MAX AC for me.

I realize/presume you're speaking part facetiously and part realistically. In some aspects, such as core manufacturing, the best thing we can do is reduce human intervention as much as possible, but still use humans for what they do best, like come up with messages, devise scoring and evaluation systems, etc.

Also kinda goes back to President Loudmouth, wanting to put a hundred thousand coal miners with 1960s skill sets back into coal mines, mining coal with 1960s coal-mining technology, and pay them six-figure salaries to do so. Yeah, uhmm...

I think he is more referring to a possible AI apocalypse. That was my take anyway.

I am being facetious, but if we fail to apply forethought to our actions, we can be directly harmed by them.

I put a significant amount of forethought into buying a car. It took quite a bit of time and research before my research led me to the decision to buy a new Prime. I spent over a year considering my options, clearly it was not an urgent need since my search precedes the availability of the Prime, which was not on my horizon when I started.

I suppose it's a fine line between messages that are perceived as being helpful and supportive, and messages that are perceived as being too Nanny Like.

While it does impact fuel efficiency and economy, most people run their climate control, in a manner they feel personally comfortable doing. Don't know if suggestions that the operator adapt are going to be taken well. Especially if the person feels they have been making an economical choice all along.

The most economic setting of this car is to put it into neutral and pull it by hand. No emission. We are back to Paris agreement, hallelujah!
