ok, Prius Prime going downhill in the rocky mountains

    well, today coming from Spokane and traveling to Missoula I got 60.3 mpg and on some downhill treks I got as much as 1.5 miles EV, a couple of times,then from Missoula to Idaho Falls I filled up and when I arrived got 45.3 mpg, went as low as 40 mpg

    the MFD is nagging me to take my car to the dealership for maintenance. I'm in Idaho Falls next to Teton Toyota, got a motel a half of a mile away. opens at 7:D

    via I-90 and I-15? What happened to Rrt-2 to Everett.

    Hope it's just confused by elevation change. Check engine light not uncommon when going up and down mountains. Re my Ford and Acura way back when.

    i had my 5k service done earlier in the week, took < 1hr, so hopefully not too much of a distraction on your trip ...

    Another long 425 mile slog up hill of the 500 total. Plus the speed you were going and still got 40+ mpg. Where to next? May I suggest Yellowstone, it's just over the hill to the east. And cueing up some Bob Seager for you

    Not check engine light. it's the 5 k maintenance message telling me to go to the dealer, I have Carista, so I could reset the message:D

    You don't need Carista to clear the maintenance message. There is a funky sequence of button presses that clears it. Sorry, I don't recall what it is.

    Speaking of Carista, I bought it with me, so if any of you Priuschatters are near the I 80 all the way to Gary Indiana want me to customize your settings on your car, such as using the unlock function on the key fob to roll all four windows down before getting in your hot car:cool:
