    MacOS: 10.12.5 (most recent)
    Safari: 10.1.1 (most recent)

The broken rendering that shows the frames mixed together in a word salad.

    MacOS: 10.12.5 (most recent)
    Google Chrome: 59.0.3071.86

With frequent reloads, the pages eventually render and is barely usable at ~1/3 to ~1/4th the normal rate.

Problem first noticed late Monday evening with initial "database errors" and continues. My sympathy for admin and moderators.

Yup, same here with Firefox. Hard to even find the post window, lol.

A little worse than Chrome in needing frequent 'reloads' but this posting is using Firefox.

Chrome - barely usable at 3-4 reloads per page rendering
Firefox - more than 4 reloads to sometimes render and other times word salad
Safari - word salad, frames are broken

FYI, random pop-up of database error. Speculation, I wonder if the advertising server(s) may have failures.

I don't know any more. The chaos has been ongoing for years now, this is like Sears Canada, lol.

(Took a concerted 10 minutes, to get to this thread, quote you, and *#%! post this.

As of maybe 20 minutes back: everything completely back to normal. No explanation, and it'll likely happen again. Probably someone got up and rebooted the server? But how come we gotta work like this? No way to crash-proof? (n)

They may have "failures" too but that has nothing to do with the "database errors" showing up when trying to load pages that are resident on THIS server.

I just got on, too. I've never seen a site that had so many database errors as this. I suspect it is a reboot that "fixes" it.

It's both nice to know I'm not alone, and not nice to know I'm not alone! I finally got in just a few minutes ago, using Chrome on Windows.

Without me knowing anything about their setup I hesitate to even make a guess, but this occasionally happens, and it appears some kind of event, probably a restart of "something" fixes it. The word salad when it's the most effected is interesting...

Like I tell all my users about Windows problems, reboot, then call me if it still does it.

And we "talk among ourselves". This'll get shunted to FHOP to join @bisco's thread soon enough?

Sorry for the "fomenting discontent" tone, but this just goes on and on, like a check engine light that's ignored. :(

True, but I'm not ready to give up on it, I get too much info here! I just have to be patient. :)

Running Chrome on Chrome OS here. Everything works fine until the page snaps to the bottom which seems to be because of a video ad playing at the very bottom. So extremely frustrating. Ironic that the thing trying to make the site money could be driving customers away.

I had notice a loose association with ad loading and a long series of delays as the ad server was accessed. Another report by @Prodigyplace suggests ads may be involved: this website has gone ballistic. | Page 48 | PriusChat

I've put in one of the Safari ad blockers and will leave Chrome and Firefox unmodified to test the web site in the future. But I remember hearing news reports that future browsers will disable 'auto-play' which is a great thing. It has gotten so bad that I keep the computer in 'mute' unless looking at content I have an interest.

I saw the report that the next Safari version will do that. I used to immediately close pages that had auto playing videos, hoping that if enough people did that, advertisers would get the hint. But I guess it's like spam. Now it's almost impossible to find a web page that doesn't have auto playing videos. How rude!!

I've been waiting a LONG time for a disable autoplay and don't really expect much this time around. The browser vendors always will leave in a way to autoplay and add vendors will exploit it. :( To be fair, it'll disable things we want to have happen automatically, but I'll take it.
