Anyone has replaced their Prius 2004-2009 Cat Converter,

-which brand did you use for replacement?

-how long has it been since you replace your Cat Converter?

-how does it sound? Does it sound better than before the replacement of worst?

My 2007 Prius w/ 109,010 miles needs a replacement and I was told by my mechanic that he can only install the brand called "Walker". So I'm just trying to see if I'm ok going this route.

I used the cheapest one I could find on ebay for 200.00. Bolt on style but had the part welded together where I cut the pipe to install the new one. It lasted exactly 50,000 and is functioning less then 95% so I have a p420 code. I don't plan on replacing yet. I drive 50,000-75,000 miles a year and I don't want to change it every year.

Oh, it sounded exactly like the OEM exhaust. Only thing that sucked was that it only lasted as long as it said it would. But I ain't paying Toyota 1,700.00 for a new one!
