Well I didn't like those Mickey Mouse Eco Toyo tires, and now I really don't like them. Just got a flat on my right rear tire, me who never gets flats!
Called Toyota using my SOS button on my car, waiting for the tow truck, the dealers not too far, hopefully they'll be able to repair this flat. I've got a customer waiting!! I'm in a really hazardous place too, so it's a little bit anxious.

have them swing by your house and pickup your SPARE tire! You'll be good to go...

Seriously though... good luck. That's my worst nightmare with this car.

I guess you didn't want to try the fix-a-flat kit in lieu of the donut spare? I don't blame you, especially with roadside assist available. The goop sounds like a big mess...

and get your nice clothes dirty? nah, road service would be my choice, let the professionals handle it, last time I got a flat it cost me ten bucks for the plug of which the tire shop installed.

to each his own. i'd rather not be stuck in a shady area, waiting for a tow truck. get towed to the dealer, wait for service, and hope it's not on a sunday.

I think I'll walk the 39 miles to the house and bring back my donut spare!! Har, har! And me who never gets flats!!
    Michelin here I come!!
I could never have worked on the car; at an offramp, partially blocking both directions of traffic!! I never do anything halfway!! The dealer was only a few miles away from the scene of the crime!
Of course, they want to sell me a new tire; no discount! I said "patch it!" I want to live dangerously. I'll check with America's Tire for my set of new Michelins!

Bridgestone Driveguard is a run-flat tire in our size. Otherwise--why would a Michelin tire get fewer punctures than a Toyo?

Why get a tire patched at the dealership? Why not the nearest tire store?

I put Ride-On brand tire sealant into our tires. I don't think I've run over a nail yet, so I don't know if they've sealed a puncture yet. I need to take a look at the tires. Ride-On gives a routine for getting the sealant into the hole after the nail is pulled or the screw unscrewed from the tire. Ride-On claims that their product is not a horrible mess inside the tire like Slime is said to be, and that tire shops are OK with Ride-On sealant. I know motorcycle riders who have had good results with the Ride-On motorcycle formula product.

I've had good results with Nealey brand rubberized string tire plugs in motorcycle tires. I'd use that in Prime tires. Will the Prime compressor work without Toyota's sealant?

I was in my nice electric powered A/C Prime with my thumb strategically placed...Har, har. Cop showed up first, got me to a safe location til flatbed showed up, about 1 hr after my special event. Now, 2 hrs into my saga waiting for patch job at Capistrano Toyota?! To be continued...
Just got told, can't patch... I knew those tires were GARBAGE. Punt.. any suggestions. I'm trying to get a used trashable tire, since I won't keep any of them.

Na Bisco (you don't know how long I've been saving that!!), just buy Michelins. My wife's (ex) Toyota van had 3 flats in one week with her Toyo tires!! I truly believe that they suck, Nails! Har, har! I'll be heading up to America's Tire today to get the Michelin Defenders. And I'll leave my brand new donut spare safely stored away til a big trip.

    .
And regarding why would Michelins get less nails/flats than Toyo? I don't know why, I just know for me the Michelins just do have much less problems. I don't remember ever getting a puncture with a Michelin!

Is it all due to this bubble, or is there a nail in the tread too? Just thinking: if it's just the sidewall bubble, maybe you can get manufacturing defect warranty?

Great idea Mr. Leisk, but he showed me what looked like a very, very small puncture leak. You should see the amount of huge sidewall deformations,
even though I drove the flat tire barely 2 blocks at about 7 miles an hour!! I stand by my original opinion: these Toyo tires are a POS! I now will have three, 6100mile Toyo Nanotechnology tires, and 1 new Bridgestone tire with about 50 miles, all for sale!

    .
BTW, there are at least 4 HUGE bubbles, both inside sidewall and outside sidewall!!

Ordinarily I would NEVER recommend "runflat" tyres, but maybe in this case they are good? Do they need a special rim though? At least you can drive on them when "flat" without damage, at reasonable speeds. Also, I see many of them say "do not repair in any circumstance". So maybe not. ;)

They'll still be heavier. That is the main reason they lower fuel economy.

But they are a solution for those that don't like losing the spare.
