Sup dudes. Just wanted everyone to know that I had a bad combination meter. So I took it out. And that THE COMBINATION METER IS NOT NECESSARY TO DRIVE AT ALL. I only had power button connected. That's all

Ok . Pretty easy to take everything off just wiggle it off spying some YouTube vids. Phillips screwdriver and ratchet w 10mm and 12mm socket plus long extension, oh and patience. Can't go wrong really but the vents can crack so be careful w them. Main point here is I drove without the combination meter. I drove with just the power button plugged in THATS ALL, FOR A WEEK. No lights no beeps. Fill gas tank every 500 miles r so. No reverse lights oops. Back won't pop unless car is off. No parking button either so just power off or kick manual parking break (left foot). Go w the flow in traffic. Ac worked fine. Cruz control I only experimented w once, pretty sure it worked, but don't use it anyway. Everything else good works. AND I REALLY LIKED IT. So yes YOU DONT REALLY NEED THE COMBO METER to drive. It's kind of heaven honestly. I hate beeps. Hate lights. Hate keys. Hate the lame display. My phone works fine for speed w waze app and mileage w mile iq app or whatever idc. I drive lyft Uber everyday 100 miles or more. Basically live in my car... all I had was power button connected. Disconnected everything else. Loved it. Don't really want to go back. But here I am now .....

So yeah got combo meter back finally from eBay thing $100. Tore the front apart again. I wish I knew where the beeps came from cause I'd like to not reconnect it that part. I can keep everything else dimmed/ off./ tape. Oh I don't listen to music anymore in car either. I do use my Apple AirPods for stuff. Call me a minimalist or idiot doesn't matter. This is fun. Ok so point has been made. Have a nice combo meter free life. no time no mileage no worries lol

image.jpg Ok so installed fixed combo meter. First all the lights and beeps and triangles came on. Even on the touch screen display. I thought maybe cause I was annoyed and didn't want to really put it in. This is real. Everything has gone off now except the fuel gauge is flashing. Also the display doesn't dim w lights on. But randomly it did a few times. Also randomly when I'd turn it back on, the fuel gauge wouldn't flash. I'm going to just drive for awhile till my frustration goes away some, cover the display w a towel, and check back. Probably in the morning.

Ok so as I was turned the car on to take the pic above, the fuel gauge stopped flashing. One thing I did do earlier was take off the negative terminal on the battery in back. Worked for a little. Ok yeah so now to switch dimensions for a little. Maybe be back. Either way things r nice. If things get too hard, disengage n come back or not. Note to self.

Turned off the beeps w this method. First I did reverse beeps. Then seat belts. All this stuff is a lot easier when I am grounded which I am not right now. Still I got through it:

2007 Prius. Here is how to get rid of the backup beeper (it should be outside, not inside):

    Disabling Reverse Beep

    1. Press and hold the brake pedal.
    2. Power on the car, Cycle ODO/TRIP, stopping on ODO, Power off the car.
    3. Power on, within 6 seconds, hold ODO for at least 10 seconds.
    4. While still holding ODO shift into Reverse and back into Park.
    5. b-on shows on odometer display, press ODO to cycle to "b-off". Done.

(This also works for the seatbelt beep, replace shifting with buckling/un-buckling)

I want to thank ebay for the combo meter repair. Did it through a place in Alabama.

    Hello!

Ok I believe I finally got it all good. It took multiple days and about 6 tries, taking apart, putting back together, and a lot of patience and non judgment.

At first, piecing it together, every light came on, triangle, beep, on touch display, odometer, airbag light, FUEL GAUGE FLASHING ....scary. I had driven it around for a week or so without combo meter. So it had been very quiet and serene. THEN THIS AHHHHH !!! :(... but yes patience , non judgment, believing in yourself.

What i could tell people to help is this:. Find a nice quiet shady spot where nobody is around to yell at. Open YouTube. Watch 28minute video, twice. Did I mention to watch the 28minute YouTube video TWICE? Instead of once like me. And all the way through. All the way through, unless you want lots of pain. Here is link

What it boiled down to is, first reassurance that it'll be ok/ you'll get it/ it's NOT the combination meter repair peoples fault . Second, you have to super make sure all the wires are reattached securely. Every one!!! sometimes take out, put back in, pull on them, double check they're all in, triple check.

FUEL GAUGE FLASHING It ended up maybe being tiny plug in on side of combo meter/ plus taking out and putting back in green strip behind meter a few times. And just looking at the attachments, all of them, very closely.

A not fully attached plug above steering column made AIRBAG LIGHT come one. Listen for that CLICK

Only thing that didn't work back after repair was DIMMER display going completely off w headlights on, but maybe in time it will happen, as it has happened randomly after a few times. So yeah it just goes bright and dim, two settings, on the dial thing to left of steering wheel.

All of this is very in tune w your now moment perspective/ frequency resonance. In fact everything in life may be just that. I haven't gotten there yet completely, but I believe Buddha was on to something when he said ftw and just sat under a tree. This seems to be the exact answer to this whole delusion called life/ death. And to this combination meter and any other thing that pops up in this reality, as it's all just a projection of our frequency WE ourselves are tuning into, not another. The only PROBLEM being the thought we had about the event, that the event itself wasn't a problem at all. That nothing is a problem and there is nowhere to go and nothing to do, as everything self perpetuates itself, and we made it all up. What I'm saying here is that brain filters out all of creation and makes into a concept. The concept isn't real. The all of infinite creation and we being a part of that is real. Words are concepts. Thoughts are concepts. To not get stuck on concepts. That Actually infinite perfect balanced untouched reality isn't a concept. This means brains are great tools but ultimately can't solve or do anything, as what it does by nature is separates and filters and creates time and space, out of the infinite. Ok too much fun w this.

    Random note:
I like tailgating/ liftbacking the Prius and car camping. Foam pad at walmart w a fleece cover, folded w seats up, making a nice mobile lazyboy. Seats down, making it nice for car camping/ naps. Include down feather sleeping bag and tinted windows, window cig wind cover things for rain and cracking windows for air. Bam it's a hybrid electric mobile house.

Here are some of the scary things that happened.

Crazy insanity of parts. This is literally brain surgery. Oh that's a deep metaphor

Just rip the side things off don't look at all or be nice

Yes that's the front Toyota emblem from when that deer hit me

Omg this is real and happening
