Warning lights on after sudden brake

    Hi!
    After I had to brake suddenly, some warning lights turned and remained on.
    There are some pictures:

    What could be the issue?

    welcome!
    just guessing, the brake actuator. best bet is to have the codes read. you can try an autocrats store, but they don't read all the codes. if no luck, take it to a dealer. how many km on her?

    there are some phone apps, but i'm not familiar. mini vci is the toyota standard, only $25. or so, and you need a compatible laptop.

    With that kind of mileage (is there an equivalent word for kilometer-age?), it could be about any component of the brake system.
    If you have never had a serious brake rebuild before, NOW is probably the time.
    The cost will not be trivial.

    "Read the codes" is the best advice so far. Speculating in advance about what you might or might not find out from reading the codes is just a good way to feed an anxiety loop.

    If you're still waiting for delivery of an OBD2 cable and you're interested in something to do in the meantime, codes from the brake computer in your generation should be readable with a jumper wire and by counting light blinks, something you can do any time. There are threads you can search up with the details.

    Hi! I went to a service and they found the error code c1344. After they had deleted it, everything became normal again.

    For now, at least, you seem to have avoided an immediate large expense.

    During this time while the problem seems in remission, I would recommend looking up the C1344 code in the repair manual to learn what it was telling you. I do not have a Gen 2 repair manual, but when I google for Prius C1344, it does appear to be an actuator-related code. This is not to alarm you, necessarily; random google hits on a code rarely have enough accurate information to diagnose what exactly was happening to trigger that code. The manual (proper to your model and year) will.

    If it is the actuator, Toyota extended the warranty in the U.S. But I don't know if that applies to other countries.
