NAV System Distances in (K)m, but Speedo Still in MPH?

On our Gen-2 (2009), I was able to set the NAV system to report distances in kilometers (and meters) while still keeping the speedometer in MPH. So far, I haven't found any way to do that on our P.Prime.

Do any of you know of any way to do that?

Not surprisingly, all of the speed limit signs here in TX are in MPH, and I have to be able to match/calibrate my speeds to them very precisely, so it's a bad idea to switch the speedometer to metric. However, I've found using the NAV to tell me how far distances are in metric to be a very good way to improve my mind's intuitive feel for metric distances.

For example, I now have pretty good intuitive feel for how long 1Km is, because the Gen-2 NAV informs me that that's about the distance between a certain two intersections I often drive between.

Similarly, it would be nice to show temperatures in Celsius and still show the speedo in MPH. I believe I was able to do that on our 2005 Camry we had before we got our Gen-2.

In short, ideally, I'd like to switch the entire car over to be in metric, but I can't do anything (realistically!) about the speed limit signs, so all but the speedometer.

Anybody know of any way to do that, or any part of that?

To clarify, I'm asking in terms of the P.Prime Advanced.

So, hitting the "menu" button, then "settings," I see "General" and "Navigation" settings. The "Units of Measurement" setting under "General" changes the speedometer (and everything else). The only potentially-relevant thing I can see under "Navigation," is "Detailed Navi Settings," and I don't see anything relevant there.

Oh, I also didn't see anything relevant under "Options" on the main screen, next to the compass on the top left.

That's a good thought! However, it appears that the setting on the MID and that on the Menu:General on the Multimedia display are linked.
