Maybe, but it's all hearsay AFAIK.

I've ridden in plenty of taxis and Ubers that are Prii over 200k, and several over 300k.

I would say we do not hear much of Prii wearing out at less than 200K. Unfortunately, some get crunched & replaced before that time :(

Sorry to be a Grinch, but 'plenty' and 'lots of' are IMHO rather vague quantities. Bearing in mind the cost of HV battery replacement/repair I'd be more impressed with ratios or percentiles - and not just in USA, although that is most significant in this thread.

But yet you are obviously going by your own anecdotal evidence with no numbers to give to us.

Not so! I have no evidence at all. But you have not given me anything other than 'he said - she said' either.
Do you have any hard evidence, because in my world people are often inclined to exaggerate claims.
    Particularly so when boasting

If you don't see how your statements are still not taking a position then I can't help you. Not going to argue with someone on the internet. Total waste of time.

A new traction battery is expensive but cheaper than a new transmission in a 06 GMC Yukon XL, and that tranny went out at just under 70k, so pick your poison, me I'm not worried about the battery in my Avalon Hybrid. still got lots of warranty left.

Toyota Prius Reliability - Dashboard Light
According to Dashboard Light (AKA the Long-Term Quality Index) and their extensive statistics of over a million used cars sold at auction, the Prius has a fairly average proportion of 200,000-300,000 mile cars compared to the industry as a whole. However, very few of them have any serious problems, which leads Dashboard Light to rate the Prius as the most reliable compact car on the market.

I notice the top 6 are all Toyota designs including their GM branded variants.

You are right of course. I was just grumpy and argumentative while a bit 'off-colour'. No excuse really, I know. So to @markabele - I'm sorry for being a pedantic, stubborn old *#@&¢€¥. :cautious:

You just wanted to see measurable proof and it has now been provided.
These days we have been trained to be cynical and verify any claims. Trust but verify!
Just recently, a vendor said the old bug we found in their older depreciated product was bit present in their current preferred product. I jist proved that it existed in the newer product. They just did not detect it. :(

No worries. I could have handled the situation better as well.
