    Hello guys,

I bought a 2015 prius c trim 2 that was imported from the US to Jordan and I have a few questions about it's maintenance

First its a salvage labeled car even though it only has 6500 original miles on it, I've bought the car because the pricing was so good given its low milage and it's new like condition.

I got it for around 12k, while a very high milage clean title one from the 2013 year model would cost 13~14k in US dollars so i think it's a steal.

Anyway what should I check first for maintenance? I previously owned a Daewoo LeMans (is called Pontiac LeMans in the US for the 90's model not the 70's muscle car) which required oil change every 500 miles but I don't know anything about a hybrid car maintenance.

Anybody giving me tips to what to look for first.

    Thanks.

Your service schedule in Jordan will probably be like mine in Nicaragua. 10k km normal, 5k km severe oil changes. Manual allows any oil from 0w20 to 20w50 as long as its SN certification.

Either way I recommend acquiring an owners manual from a Toyota dealer in Jordan.

    Good luck!

It only has 6,500 miles the only thing I would do is change the oil. As stated you will need to see what weight of oil should be used in your region. But it seems Toyota recommends 0W-20 for the USA. But again you can go thicker. I use 0W-30 Mobil 1 in my lift back. Being that you may have much hotter climate thicker maybe better. Check with your Toyota dealer. Best of luck with your new C. They are great!

    congrats and welcome!

check both the air and cabin filters, maybe rotate tyres, and consider changing the tranny fluid.
    all the best!(y)

I would agree to checking everything, but changing the tranny fluid with only 6500 miles seems a tad overkill just because someone's eager. :D

yeah, just a thought. some here like to change it early to get the break in crud out, then at longer intervals after that. so i throw it out there, food for thought.

Since this car was imported from the US, the US manuals would have the maintenance schedule.

The manuals for the 2015 Prius c are at 2015 Toyota Prius C Owners Manual and Warranty - Toyota Owners

I might sound like an idiot lol but what is the tranny fluid? do you mean the fluid that has something to do with the electrical motor?
and just yesterday I've changed the oil 0W20 it shocked me how much the car took with the oil filter changed too it took 4.5 L for the oil indicator rod to show full oil

the air filter was good but the cabin filter was just clogged ! maybe that was due to the car was imported from Texas state where sand and dust is filling up the air lol and it isn't that much better here in Jordan

That seems a little too much oil. Here are a couple of parts from the owners manual from my link in post 9.

Salvage title, I'd check and change everything, what if it has been under water?

    The fluid in the transmission.

That is too much oil. As referenced above, 3.7L is with the filter. The oil takes some time to move to the stick, sometimes.
