I for one was very anxious a few weeks ago when I was not sure if the (then) $2500 Toyota Cash Back (in Maine) would expire on July 5th. I took a gamble - and the dealer had a good gut feeling that it would continue, given that it had been in place for several months straight. I was lucky as not only did it continue, it went up to $3150! However, it was a gamble.

Looks like Prime is not selling well in the North-East... hence all these incentives. Why is it not selling well? North-East is a HUGE market...

Not really sure, because it's a great car and the current incentives make it even more so. But perhaps it's a mix between a) people being gaga about "crossovers" and the fact that gas is comparatively cheap at the moment. And political uncertainty in regards to the Federal tax refund for EVs?

just picked up my advanced prime yesterday...had $1000 incentive and a markdown of an additional $600.00 i ended up
with a cost of around 31154 after going back and forth with dealer...He seemed to want to get rid of the car and the salesguy had never sold one before...so i jumped at this car given they are hard to get...wife loves it titanium glow....

Titanium Glow exterior with the moon glow interior...however, i think i will go with seat covers in the front to change the color to a darker gray/black...the white color she wasnt thrilled with but given everything else...and 31.1 was otd, tax included...given i crossed state lines and my tax rate was lower than the host state...however, to register and plate the car it will cost me up to 500.00 because our state is implementing a "tax" as of July 1 on hybrids/EVs of 150 registration fee on top of excise tax...they tote use less energy but screw you on registration because you arent paying enough gas tax to fix the beat up roads...but i contend my prius isnt beating up the roads like your beat up GM rust bucket pick up truck is......

Funny, I was just quoted $31.5k for an Advanced OTD incl. the $3500 discount + dealer discount and taxes. It was $29,500 final price without the taxes. I guess that's what they are going for now... .let's see if that will improve or worsen in August, depending on the August incentive.

I bought from Luv Toyota in NY for $30,000 including $3,500 rebate, dealer discount and fees. I did not pay any taxes driving off the lot and registered in the WA state by myself with paying very high taxes here.

I was quite happy until finding the price for NJ-PrimeAdvanced

Sounds like Toyota is discounting the Prime $1 per mile I've put on mine since I bought it.

ps. No regrets! I could have had a Volt.

These prices are crazy. I got mine in California and I thought my deal was good!

To be fair, I made a small omission - you need to add $400 registration fee, $75 documentation fee, tire fee $12.50 and in-transit permit $45... so overall the price is ~$30,000+sales tax, which is what you paid for it!

So I finally decided to go and actually price out the Prime...OTD for the Premium was at $33,462 while the Advanced was at $38,152...I feel like I'm being ripped off on both... idk what to do...lol

I would recommend buying from the east coast where you can get about 6k off these prices. Then either drive it back or have it shipped (about 1500 I would guess). That is what I did. I was apprehensive about buying a vehicle out-of-state, but it was a fairly easy process. I purchased through Berlin City Toyota in Maine.

I also did it. It was a very nice summer vacation trip but it took many days to do that.
I was lucky that the dealer I found was at the west edge of the NY state.
Maine to Los Angeles would be a very long trip....

Heh mine was a less nice trip. On a time crunch and drove straight through from Maine to CO in just over 30 hours. But still very much worth it!

I can't believe that there are such huge price disparities within the same country! it's such an obvious opportunity for people to simply buy out of state, I'm sure Toyota must be realising that they are shooting their west-coast dealerships in the foot!

I think that most people on the west coast are buying in state and aren’t checking Prius chat. If Toyota is barely able to keep the cars in stock with only a $1000 discount then I don’t think they have any incentive to change their pricing.

What I think is strange is that in the mid-west the car is basically only available if you order it for full MSRP. Why would Toyota lose $3500 on a rebate to the northeast when there is demand, but no inventory, in many, many, states? It just seems like bad business.

The car arrived yesterday and I'm digging it. First trip: 28.5mi on electric with the majority being on the interstate. Drove about 36miles total with 102mpg (y)

Final cost after dealer fees, Sales tax, delivery, etc...$35,389.73 I feel this price is quite reasonable for all the features on the Advanced.
